Cecil is in the right here. Mark's father killing a good chunk of the city population is totally okay and Mark thinks he can be a changed person but God forbid someone else with much lesser crimes tries to reform and help humanity. Omni Man was also very helpful towards Earth and had everyone's trust before completely doing a 180 and started taking over the world killing everyone so Cecil has every right to not fully trust Mark and put in contingencies

Mark was literally going to die if it weren't for Sinclair and Darkwing

While I agree with Cecil having some "break glass in case of emergency" method for Mark. His way of doing things is another story, he was supposed to tell Mark on some real shit "eh bruh I put the whoop in your ear in case you go psycho" then whatever happens, happens, but telling me you made plans to fuck me over while fucking me over is crazy. Now was Cecil is valid for his use of the white room, mos def. The reanimen could be argued but the noise emitter surprise is for sure hoe shit on Cecil's end just b/c Mark wouldn't have killed him only the reanimen.

Xavier Chandler

TLDR: Mark is childish, Cecil is duplicitous, and they both fucked up. Classic chicken and egg shit

Xavier Chandler

Also don't forget this Mark is one of the few that wasn't w/the fuck shit Nolan was on so it's not super outside the realm of possibility that nigga Mark could say fuck I'm done and get to waxing shit

I love this episode. Getting to see Cecil’s backstory and how he got where he is adds a lot of weight to the current situation with Mark. I see both of their sides, but mostly agree with Cecil in terms of using all resources available to keep the world safe. I also understand putting the chip in Mark’s head because you cannot be overly trusting when someone is a walking weapon of mass destruction. My issue with Cecil comes with how he handled the situation. If you don’t want your strongest ally to become your strongest enemy, you probably shouldn’t actively piss them off. Using the implant should be a last resort, not something you use over a disagreement in resource management. Also, letting the entire team see you using the weapon in his head is just silly. He should be smarter than that. They all have been in the GDA hospital and you’re showing them you have no issues violating their bodily autonomy. Easy way to turn them against you.

While I do think Cecil shouldn't have used the noise thing, it is understandable arguably. At the end of the day Cecil is just an ordinary human and admits Mark is scaring him so it could be just be heat of the moment situation not to mention Mark is actually scary as shit especially dismembering reanimen right in front of him

Lets be real if we lived in The shows world, we would all hope there was a Cecil to protect us normal citizens from the crazy monsters and aliens. Pro Cecil all day, forget stupid moral virtures, protect earth and save my family! I dont care if the superpowered weenies cant sleep at night because of it.

Oh, sweet Maple, Someone needs to bring her back to this video when she's in her 30s, and all of a sudden her back decides to say fuck you today.

ZitherManifesto

I'm on Cecil side you got to do fucked up shit in a fucked up world for the greater good.

Mark literally went full dictator and demanded his way or violence. Cecil was 100% justified

Mark went full Omni-Man & murdered people in the Guardians HQ without hesitation. Cecil was most definitely right here. This entire season, Mark’s morals will be challenged with different ppl & situations pulling him in different directions (Cecil, Debbie, Eve, Oliver, Immortal, Titan, & the villains of this season)
