I think with Jace it just truly shows both sides. Rhaenrya did what's best for her growing up and Jace has consistent issues about it, feels inadequate every day he awakes because his claim is not 100%. Alicent gave up everything and did it by the book in terms of this world and they turned into pyscho killers. Nothing in this story is good which is why I kinda hate how they make you understand how one sided it is in the show compared to book
