Arrested Development 3x11–13 Family Ties / Exit Strategy / Development Arrested |First Time Reaction

Patreon for Watch Alongs and Early Access: https://www.patreon.com/diegesisTV Arianna and Maple close out Season 3 of Arrested Development with “Family Ties,” “Exit Strategy,” and “Development Arrested,” a finale run packed with meta jokes, long-payoff callbacks, and pure Bluth-style insanity. Across these last episodes, Michael tries one last time to hold the family together as secrets, betrayals, and legal disasters erupt all at once. Gob’s schemes unravel, Tobias commits harder than ever to the world’s most questionable roles, Lindsay searches for purpose, George Sr. spirals through his lies, and Lucille proves she can still manipulate everyone in arm’s reach. From Iraq reveals to boat-party breakdowns, every twist is a send-up of TV finales and a farewell lap of everything that made the Bluths so hilariously dysfunctional. With the show leaning fully into its own mythology — stair cars, chicken dances, family illusions, and a lifetime of bad decisions — this three-episode stretch is peak Arrested Development. And Arianna and Maple are experiencing every last callback, punchline, and meltdown for the very first time. There was a joke earlier in the show I think you may have missed where Michael says, 'We have to get rid of The Seaward', and Lucille hears him, responding, 'I'll leave when I'm good and ready!' heh. because, y'know, cunt. 😄 Aaaand, Nellie is ACTUALLY Michael's sister IRL. 🙃 ALSO: If you end up watching season 4, please please PLEASE -- I implore you! -- do not watch 'the remix'. Originally, each episode of season 4 follows a different member of the Bluth family. (since so many of the stars got much more famous years after AD's initial run, I can only assume gathering them all together to film in one spot was kinda impossible) Anyway, after complaints began to pour in, they re-edited Season 4, and turned what was already a not-great season into utter garbage. They chopped it up and re-arranged shit so that each episode wasn't so specifically focused on one character, I guess, and rendered the show (in my opinion) completely unwatchable, dubbing it 'the re-mix'. Pleeeease watch it how it was initially released ♥️ There are quite a few episodes/storylines in Season 4 that I absolutely adore -- GOB is sorta losing his mind and having a complete identity crisis; he's beyond funny ♥️ Buster and Oscar are fun, Anne is a riot (...her?🙃) I'm a person that doesn't let a 'bad' season ruin the rest of a show for me -- though I know other folks can't help but allow that to color their opinions. (and that's okay, of course!) A lot of folks might advise you to just give up on AD entirely after season 3, but there are definitely more than a few delightful and hilarious storylines that I think'll be worth your while. -- Yes, there are indeed parts that don't work, but.. if you take it for what it is, an entirely separate entity from Seasons 1-3, and don't feel the need to compare, I think you'll enjoy it. Comparison being the thief of joy and all that 🙃 Just my two cents! Also, Arianna, has anyone ever told you that you remind them of AOC? Especially when you grin real big 😁 gorgeous (as are you, Maple! ♥️) And Maple, I've heard you mention D&D here and there: I'm not sure if you ever watch Dropout TV when they play, but on YouTube there are a few episodes called 'Dungeons and Drag Queens' that you absolutely MUST watch. It's four of the funniest, most lovable queens out there learning to play (they catch on REAL quick) with Brendan Mulligan, who is like.. world's best dungeon-master. It would be rad if you reacted to it (Arianna would enjoy herself as well I think; you don't have to be a D&D fan to watch or anything)! You'd enjoy it regardless, though; I can't recommend it enough. Here is a trailer: https://youtu.be/khZVjQL74qE?si=Jp5v9sXXZSsd78P_ Additionally: I'd die happy y'all would react to Drag Race💃 Anyhoo, love your shit, girlies. And for the love of FUCK and all that is holy, PLEASE watch 'The Wire' soon, y'all will love it.

Dungeons and Drag Queens is a good suggestion, mostly because it is a small amount of of episodes, as opposed to Fantasy High (my favorite of the D20 seasons).

If you haven't started the seasons that don't exist yet, here is some non-spoiler background. When season 4 was made they couldn't get all the actor's schedules to line up, so each episode is focused on a single character, but each character's stories interact. It's really weird to watch IMO. I think netflix released, at one point, a re-edited version so the season makes more sense. It might be better to watch that verison. update -- I had never watched the re-edited version, I just knew the season left me wanting. I see lot's of other comments saying the re-edit is worse, so you should probably ignore what I said.
