Really enjoying your reactions so far. I think Zabuza and Haku are great characters. They are well written and set up to be strong enough so that they are a real challenge for the team. The stakes are high enough to have you worried a bit about what could happen. The characters are also written in a way that makes them somewhat sympathetic so even thought they're the bad guys and you know they have to be stopped, you can't help liking them too. And yes both the recap and the cliffhanger are sometimes a bit much with Naruto, BUT there's were originally created to air one per week on television and the idea was to leave you wanting more so you'd be sure to tune in the next week. As for the recaps that's partly because it would have been a week since you'd seen the last episode so they wanted to ease you back in the action so it would seem more seamless and also partly because they wanted to pad the run time to get more episodes out of the source material.
