Really good analysis at the end, you’d be surprised how many people didn’t understand where Sasuke was coming from here. He still cares for Sakura as well, he wasn’t going to knock her out either until she threatened to alert more people and even then he still made sure she was left on the bench instead of the middle of the road. It’s little things like this that shows us he still cares for her and his friends but he just realized he can’t attain his goal of avenging his clan there at the leaf village.
