I dont think Yeowoon got famous and sought after by the brand because of his subpar IG lol. We learn in the first ep from Kyunghoon he is already "famous" and he was winning races before since that is why Shi-A became his fan in the first place. His slump seems to be pretty recent so it tracks if the brand was seeking him out initially when he was still doing really well
