At first I thought the same you about Maya, I thought she was a good character, that she could be a good friend for Kohei and vice versa Kohei will help her to not isolate herself like him, but with the subsequent episodes, Maya became a little annoying because she totally misunderstood Taichi, her insinuating that he is just a profiteer and that she does not take things seriously, this will lead to consequences between Taichi and Kohei

I think that Maya may understand clearly...she is doing this to push Taichi to realize his feelings and fight for Kohei. I dunno just a hunch, hopefully I am right.

A girl that shows up in the middle of the show to make the main couple relationship complicated that I don’t hate. And honestly I would be the same in the same spot as Maya. I hope she finds love and change just like Kouhei. Maybe that’s the point of her that Kouhei is showing someone that your not supposed to be alone in this world and enjoy it with good friends. I haven’t caught up so no spoilers. Hopefully she messes with Taichi mind and he will make the next move on Kouhei.
