I suspect that Shu Yi's father paid the the medical bills (from the special episode) of Shi De's mother (or someone else's from her new husband's family) and in return asked Shi De to stay away from Shu Yi. I really hope they will reveal it next Friday. I also wish we'll get more scenes of Pei Shou Yi and Yu Zhen Xuan, because that's an unusual couple.

Yesss, sam drank 3 bottles of whiskey before they shoot the scene and according to Yu in his ig live, he said that they threw away their script and improvised the scene a lot. Im literally dead after watching this ep. Rip my poor soul 💀

Hi Lydia I am a Londoner who loves BL (maybe too much!!) This episode was intense. So much to think about.I’m rubbish at typing so frustrating as I have so much to express. Anyway that improvised scene, so intense. Amazing acting. I was struct by Sams performance. His painful realisation of what this promise he has made( to which we still are not clear) has cost him. I felt his hurt and his anguish and his desperation. We may not have fully realised it at first but his feelings where displayed to us. We recognised for the first time the loss he feels for Shi Yi. The scene where he dives into the pool( he dreams this) lets us know that he really is in despair. He asks Shu Yi at one point, do you know how you are blessed and protected. That lets us know, that his actions of the last 3 years / 5 yrs was motivated by love. He has loved Shi Yu since childhood. It’s deep so what would make him betray that trust Shi Yu was amazing in that scene too. The stillness to witness and feel Shu De’s pain. He still loves him and they are both so vulnerable. I m enjoying this series. The father obviously has a part to play but he obviously dotes on his son. I’m so invested in their story and am really looking forward to ep 3 I’m also interested in the doctor/tech story. 12 years?!! and of course tech has something else, socially/ emotionally/ Mentally going on Roll on next episode

Same it’s insane I’m glad my friend told me about the improv before watching the scenes it was so intense!!! Also the doctor has a new music video out with the bartender and we see a bit of their story !!
