Ahhhh the fact that you said Wei Ying should adopt Yuan and he technically does in the end. Lan Zhan adopts him and ofc in the novel, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying get married and Yuan/Sizhui is their son

This episode hurts me so much because we knew from the start that Jin Lings parents were dead but I think we all erased that from our memory when the flashback started so the deaths are painful
