Jin Ling and the juniors from the Lan Clan are 16-19 years old so none of them would've recognised Wei Ying as they would've been 0-3 years old when he died.

In the novel, WWX has the face of the person who brought him back (Mo Xuanyu). LZ and JC know it's him, but can't prove it, so WWX keeps pretending that he's MXY.

Here, he has the same face as before, so anyone who knew him 16 years ago recognises him without the mask. Jin Ling's generation are too young.
