Xue Yang has a childhood similar to Wei Ying, they are orphans but unlike Wei Ying was taken in by the Jiang sect then he had people to help him go on the "right path" while Xue Yang has grew up on his own, had bad company, no one to tell him what's right and wrong that's why he became like that (that doesn't excuse anything he's done) so when Xiao Xingchen started to take care of him and that for years when no one before him did, he started to get attached to him and I think he started to develop feelings for him (I guess because it's not clearly said but seen the scene where he starts crying when he realizes that Xiao Xingchen is really dead). But in any case for sure, he had developed sympathy for Xiao Xingchen. In fact, Xue Yang had started to change thanks to Xiao Xingchen's presence during theses years, he had stopped killing

Well, I can tell you roughly what Xue Yang is thinking in that moment: "Okay, dinner is ready, hubby, time to get up! :DDD" Honestly, Wang Haoxuan really sold Xue Yang's love/obsession/whatever you want to call it. The doting expression when he's cleaning the body and preparing dinner for two, how expectant he looks, the subsequent breakdown...him and that voice actor deserve more work.

I’m sorry, i know you somehow liked Xue Yang but i just hate him with my entire self lol just seeing how horrible Song Lan must be feeling, loosing his soulmate, the one Xue Yang deceived and hurted so bad when he made him kill all those innocent people, he even made Xingchen stab Song Lan without knowing it was him and he couldn’t cope with all of that so he sadly killed himself. Now Song Lan is walking through the world alone, with Xingchen’s spiritual energy, at least what is left. So I’m just hoping Wei Wuxian’s words come true, i hope both of them can get reincarnated and meet each other again, so they can be together as they should, as they deserved. They were so important to each other :(

Also, Lan Zhan and Wei Ying’s eyes were so sad, did you noticed? They must have been thinking what if that would’ve happened to them? Lan Zhan already experienced that, when Wei Ying died. He lost his soulmate for 16 years, Song Lan lost his for the rest of his life :(

I've been rewatching Untamed within your reactions. My first time watching the show left me speechless and feeling way too big feelings. Especially the whole Yi City arc hit me so hard in the feels that I still cried even tho I knew what's happening. Xue Yang loved Xiao Xingchen, but in the end he was way too damaged to let it be that way. I feel like if Song Lan never showed up they would have lived happily ever after in their own little world. But Song Lan came and Song Lan "took away" the only thing Xue Yang has ever loved and the only thing that has ever loved him. So the only way he knew how to handle these emotions was to lash out. "If I can't have you, nobody can". I don't know if you have listened to the official character songs and read the lyrics to them but Xue Yangs song really explains it well.. It is Xue Yangs words about Xiao Xingchen. "if i got rid of my demons, would you forgive me? gain freedom from this destiny and start all over again?" and "waiting to relive my life just for one person, i would leave no regrets" ...
