I actually loved this ending and it's getting me even more excited for what is to come. Well this was part one of the book, it ended exactly like this, so I'm excited for part two in Season two. Can't wait to see how they will adept that. 😊 Also there are a lot of deleted scenes we get to see sometime in the future and if I remember correctly, Tita Josie said there will be an uncensored version? All of your questions will be answered in S02 and for now I believe there will be a season 2, I have to! 😁

They went with the ending of novel 1, so I get it. If there will be no season 2 I'm sad, but I'll go with book 2 and that very satisfying ending.

I'm pretty sure there will be a season two, we have to believe that. 😄 If there won't be then I will also go with the ending of book two. It would be a bit sad for all the people who never read the books but this season alone was amazing and I will never forget it. ❤️

So, Addicted didn't actually make it to its planned ending. We never saw. It was pulled by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) before they could get to the later half of Book 1. Season 2 is planned. The reason they deleted that final scene was the team felt strongly they would be able to do the Book 2/Season 2, and use that 'unused' scene as the start of Season 2. Now that all of S01 aired, the CCP may not allow S02, but S01 seemed to have passed their censors. We even got a Hong Kong series this year (Stay Still), that would have not likely passed CCP censorship, but yet it still aired. Like many countries, there has been some hard economic downturn, and China has been hit hard by some of their more draconian policies. I'm just hazarding a guess, but China may see all the revenue that the SE Asian companies are making on BL, and are being looser with censorship. Another good sign, Xu Bin and Jiong Min together, did so much BL product endorsement and fashion spreads after the series ending. Very different than Addicted where the two main actors were legally forced to not ever work together again. So my gut tells me, Season 2 is still on the way.

I hate that they ended like this too..l was shock...when it end... I was like what happen to wubin ... I am with you on the ending too... I question myself why the house is clean out... so many questions.... I very very need them to do season 2... I hate open ending too...this is just so sad... the problem with the cousin is not even resolve yet... They got to do season 2....

Bad news everyone. Apparently Chai Ji Dan sold Stay With Me copyright to a dubbing company who will be making season 2 as a stage play/radio drama with voice actors. https://twitter.com/cc816151014/status/1740782437603651982 I'm so upset but kinda knew s2 with the same actors would be too good to be true 😫.

your not alone, Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Japanese, Western, ect fans are not happy with this ending because we all know the chance of a filmed season 2 isn't going to happen. 24 ep Chinese bl was a hard ask and even a kissing scene was hard to ask for. a local stage play/ radio drama is ridiculous for a 2nd season after a 24 episode BL. if they where going to sell the rights they should have just sold it to a Taiwanese company. either way it will be with a new cast? welp i'm just going to call this BL a Tragedy and move on. P.S. > unless its from Hong Kong.
