I'm loving the seminar. I started to study the Qabalah (18 month course) so I'm just starting but what you taught I "saw" correlations. What I ned is a better understanding of ascent technology. I have never heard of this. It sounds like you will get into it more next time. n

I just joined as an annual Patreon member because of this course. I am very fascinated by this topic. I guess I have some catching up to do, but I am looking forward to the lecture at 2:00 p.m. today.

I got knocked out. If there’s anything you can do on your end to allow me to rejoin that’ll be great

In light of the second seminar about the tension / paradox between immanent and transcendent divine, a phrase added to minchah amidah on fast days caught my attention yesterday. "For in the light of your face you have given us the Torah of life, love, and kindness." I just learned that the siddur was written much later than I'd thought-- do we know what they were thinking when they included that?

Found Couliano's *Out of this World: Otherworldly Journeys from Gilgamesh to Albert Einstein* among my books this am. Any thoughts? (Anyone? Anyone?) If not I'll review and post a comment.

I can't wait for your class. I have my ibn arabi "revelations revealed in mekka" class through futuhatproject earlier in the day,, and your class is sure to be good

At this point in the series I have consulted the Wikipedia List of substances used in rituals. While not exactly a psychonaut, I did grow up in the 70s and I know that the psychoactive substances found in the Middle East are both rare and nasty. So, 2ME, evil angels that will kill you without warning or reason after drinking a gallon of coffee with a mix of roots and toxic “dream herbs” sounds about right. I think of cultural “snow globes” that define the extent of the universe and definition of god. Today our snow globes are so much larger. Many of the rituals covered in this series were IMHO survival instructions from a time well before any modern understanding of germs, viruses etc when most of us died before the age of five and few of us lived beyond 30. My 15 year study of sacred geometry brought me here and the historical context of this series has expanded my horizons. Thank you

Ergot poisoning, or ergotism, occurs when a fungus called Claviceps purpurea, which can infect wheat, rye, barley, and triticale, is consumed. This poisoning causes a range of symptoms, historically known as "St. Anthony's Fire," which can include convulsive effects like spasms and hallucinations, as well as gangrenous effects like burning pain, numbness, and loss of limbs due to restricted blood flow. Convulsive ergotism: Caused by the fungus's effect on the central nervous system. Muscle spasms and convulsions Nausea and vomiting Confusion, disorientation, and delirium Hallucinations Weakness

This course has been a real eye opener 4me in regards to the foundation of the catholic (my) faith. (i) have always believed that catholics 'invented' pre-mature cognitive commitments, (i) will believe that no more...Thank you Dr. Sledge perhaps my parents did the heavy lifting and were not complete idiots who moved 10 children to Canada

Dr Sledge, I've been ill for the last few weeks with generalised pain syndrome. Did I miss much like books suggestions, that I can't find back in the course documents and the videos?

Thank you so much for this deeply researched and considered series - which I have appreciated more than I could have imagined.
