In which I arse around with Google's weird streaming baby Stadia, which allows you to spend £8.99 a month for access to 5 games. And then you can spend £15.99 on a Tomb Raider game that I bought for £6 brand new on disc 4 years ago. It's all a bit odd.

The weirdest thing for me though is the listing of "Buy games whenever you want" as a feature of the Stadia. Pretty sure I've never seen any service where you can only buy games at certain times. Google are... interesting.

Fun fact: I spent ages getting it work through the TV Tuner on a Game Gear, only to discover that it's almost impossible to film the screen of a Game Gear. And then the scene just messed up the pacing so I deleted it anyway! Hooray!

The True Potential of Google Stadia | Ashens

Play when you want, where you want! (As long as you have an incredibly stable internet connection with no data cap.) Throw money at the sofa - https://www.patreon.com/ashens This is an odd beast isn't it? It's like Google have no interest in making it a competitive gaming service, they're just chasing the technology. And ultimately chasing data of course. (Also... They introduce this as "Games without a console" but I still had to spend £119 on a special Chromecast and controller before they'd let me have an account.)

Ahh, hmm! If you're interested in other tiny TVs, def be on the lookout for a Leader LVM 5863A, it's a tiny color CRT, and it's lovely!

They mean vs all those other consoles where you have to get the bus into town after school which gets in just after Woolworths shuts. That fun fact sounds like incredible Member Exclusive content to me.

Ay, I've got a Watchman too! What an excellent use for it!

You missed the bit where you pick the label for the game up off the shelf, and take it to the till, so the member of Woolworths' staff goes out to the back to find the actual game, then comes back 10 minutes later to admit that they don't in fact, have the game in stock.
