Audio Guff Episode 2: Gaming Quiz Nonsense (Patreon)

In which Mr. Paul Gannon joins me with a deck of gaming trivia cards, MANY OF WHICH ARE ANNOYINGLY WRONG. I mean look at the one in the photo here that we didn't cover....

Peach was in Super Mario Bros. which predates Metroid, so the answer from those listed is Peach not Samus. Except it's not Peach as Pauline from Donkey Kong predates them both, as do several other characters in non-Nintendo games. And if they meant playable character then it's Ms. Pac-Man. If the question was "Who was the first female human character to be playable in a video game?" then... maybe it's Samus? (And what does "AAA" mean back when the playing field was far more equal?) ARRRGHHH

Three corrections for mistakes I noticed when editing this:

1. We get Daisy confused with Pauline at one point.

2. "Space Invaders Elbow" actually was a term used alongside Space Invaders Wrist.

3. Coathooks cannot talk, even if you microwave them on a Thursday.

Obviously this was recorded before The Event. Future episodes are likely to be recorded over the internet.
