That's what I wanted to call this video on YouTube until I realised it would just be nonsense to 99% of people!

UPDATE ON VIDEO CONTENT: I ate a more substantial part of the cookie later and it wasn't as nice as I first thought :(

Video Game Tat 8: Tat of the Year Edition | Ashens

Polybius mini-cab-thingy: https://bit.ly/33tFq1P Patreon exists: https://www.patreon.com/ashens Video Games! No longer is it enough for major publishers to offer you a game to buy. Now there must be tiered releases with statues and other collectables! (Or a model of the Batmobile so low-quality that they dare not even release it...) And of course, don't forget to buy the tie-in noodles and candles. We poke a stick at the infamously awful Marvel Versus Capcom Infinity stones / gems pack, a rather nice little Red Faction thingy, a Super Rare game, a Far Cry 5 Boomer Box and even a press kit about a game called "Bite the Bullet". Bonzer! Or something!

Hmm, Wikipedia says that that IS a jump cut... a smash cut is when a cut happens at an unexpected time, but a jump cut is when you cut without moving the camera. I guess technically you could argue that the ones on youtube are often both... but I guess it's the jumpiness that's more jarring than the smashiness?

I dunno, I'd think of the "jump cuts" in Ashens videos as more of a scene change than anything, even if it's literally still on the sofa. Isn't a proper cinema jump-cut a short jump forward in time of the same scene causing all the on-screen characters to jump from one place to another? Either as a style thing, or because it's the 1930s and they thought nobody would notice?

At least when your disappointed with the Infinity stones you will have some really cool Easter Eggs to gift little Billy

The NES game from Mega-Cat Ashens couldn't remember is called "Creepy Brawlers". It's very good. And it makes me happy that quality, original NES games are still being made. ... but I have to admit that the value proposition of paying full price for a NES cartridge is a little hard to swallow in this day and age.

I lost it when the infinity stones turned out to be snooker balls.

When I saw the thumbnail I got excited because I thought they were the medallions from Ocarina of Time - I just checked and they're exactly the same colours! Easy mistake to make.
