February 2022 NEWS (Patreon)

A new month, and new news! I'll keep it brief this time. This month being the briefest of the year, I often find it's also the most stressful. It's strange but, when you're work 'renews' at the first of every month, those extra two or three days make a lot of difference. 

The past months have been wild; I got sick four times (two stomach bugs, two colds, somehow no covid) and have been revising my book in preparation for the showcase, which is happening in...a week. I will be dealing with a lot of firsts as a result (first time querying or even trying for trad pub, and there are so many STEPS) and I'm trying to prepare myself for the emotional and mental overload that might happen. It's already getting there; my adrenaline levels are so high I'm barely sleeping. It'll pass, and I'm dealing with it one day at a time and with therapeutic forays into playing Stardew Valley in the evenings, but this is all to say I'm sorry if I'm a bit squirrely!
