So I am doing a variant cover for Lazarus: Fallen, and Image comics is doing a thing where they are publishing variant covers which include Youngblood characters (I think the book is making a comeback or something? I have no clue lmao); I was tasked with making this work, utilizing one or multiple characters from both properties. When it comes to covers, I don’t generally like having to fit toooooo much on them, because it becomes cluttered easily and honestly it takes way longer for the same amount of money 😮‍💨

BUT ANYWAY; so I decided to do a cover with Forever Carlyle and Vogue, and this was the result; well, rather, these were the inks, because shortly after I finished this, while everyone had approved it for colors, my editor asked whether I wanted to give the cover another shot; he felt that they’d backed me into a corner to do a superhero-type cover, which is not my strong-suit, and so, despite having done this work, he wondered if I might have an idea for a cover that is really CHLOE.

AND BOY DID I. I just finished it tonight and it might be the sickest cover I have ever done (I will post it here once it is ready to be shared). Still, though, I actually really like what I did here; it’s kind of different than my normal stuff, but I think in a pretty energetic and exciting way ☺️

Would y’all have been interested in picking this up (colored, of course) on the stands had we gone with this one?
