Jake thought the trees he had seen on Earth were big, and sure, compared to before the system, they had indeed been utterly massive. However, when he looked at the monstrosity of wood so far away that he couldn’t even begin to guess the distance, he couldn’t help but feel like they were tiny in comparison. Standing before something like that made even Jake feel small.

He wasn’t the only one, either. Nearly all of the people on the vessel were standing in awe as they marveled at the great tree in front of them. No one had to tell them who or what they were looking at either. Despite being out of her range, every person present knew they were laying eyes on Yggdrasil, one of the Primordials and the leader of the Pantheon of Life.

“How far away are we?” Jake asked as he kept staring, asking primarily because the massive tree wasn’t getting much larger despite how fast they were going.

“No idea, but we still got like twenty minutes left till we reach the Great Planet Yggdrasil is on,” Minaga shrugged while obviously enjoying everyone’s reaction.

Chances were that none of the people present – besides the gods and perhaps a few S-grades – had ever visited the inner area of the Pantheon of Life before. This was thus their first time seeing Yggdrasil, and honestly, who could blame them for their reactions?

Looking at Yggdrasil, Jake naturally didn’t know what kind of tree she was, but she looked a lot like an ash tree. The trunk was long and sturdy, with a crown so utterly massive Jake didn’t doubt entire worlds could be hidden within. The entire tree also looked incredibly healthy, with green leaves everywhere the eye could see if one looked toward the crown.

It was very evident that Records had bled into their recently integrated universe because the tree in front of him looked pretty much exactly like what Jake would expect the World Tree to be. It was close enough that he suspected some entertainment franchises of having actually glimpsed into the first universe to accurately depict the World Tree.

What none of them could have depicted was the sheer aura. Merely by looking at the tree, Jake could feel its overflowing life energy. Currently, the vessel they were on was covered by a powerful barrier to keep them safe during the voyage, but Jake didn’t doubt that the second it was dispelled, overflowing life affinity energy would rush in.

“You know what’s even more impressive?” Minaga said after a minute or so of silence as they all stared at the tree that was rapidly growing in size as they got closer. “Yggdrasil isn’t even the largest creature in the multiverse. She’s close, don’t get me wrong, but the Starseizing Titan is still larger. What’s more... the two of them are both still growing as the eras pass, which does make me and others wonder if one day a Great Planet isn’t enough for Yggdrasil.”

By now, Jake and everyone else couldn’t just see the tree but the even more massive Great Planet she was planted on, and while Yggdrasil was utterly massive, compared to a Great Planet, she still had ways to go. Of course, he had no idea how deep her roots went, though, but he got the feeling she still had a long time to go before she could outgrow her current home.

“I don’t think that’s an immediate issue,” Jake muttered.

“Probably not,” Minaga shrugged. “And if it does turn into a problem, I’m sure Yggdrasil can find a solution. Or Nature’s Attendant. By that time, she should also be powerful enough to move entire Great Planets, so worst case, she could just slam a few together and make a... Greater Planet?”

“Ultra Planet. Ultra comes after great,” Jake said in a joking voice.

“And after that, I believe we would have Master Planets,” the Sword Saint chimed in, making Jake stare at the old man with surprise.

“What? I can understand some references too,” the old man said, as he kept looking at Yggdrasil. “And I must say... this sight is quite inspiring, and I shall certainly fully commit it to memory with hopes of depicting it on the canvas later.”

“Probably good for your Profession. Which does make me wonder what kind of things you could create with a few of those leaves...” Jake muttered, getting a look from Minaga.

“That was pretty heretical of you to say,” the Unique Lifeform commented.

“Not really, I’m just wondering out loud,” Jake shrugged. “You can’t tell me that armorers all over the multiverse haven’t wondered what you could create with scales from the Wyrmgod or the Malefic Viper.”

“Well, sure, but people usually don’t say that kind of thing out loud,” Minaga pointed out. “Could piss off a lot of their followers.”

“That sounds like a them problem and not a me problem,” Jake said unbothered.

“I guess that’s the kind of mentality you need to dare get intimate with gods. A willingness to not care about norms or decorum,” Minaga teased him telepathically, at least having enough sense not to speak that kind of thing out loud.

“Don’t act as if you don’t love that about me,” Jake teased back.

“Guilty as charged,” Minaga smiled and chuckled, returning to speaking out loud after waving his hand and creating a fully transparent sound-isolating barrier around himself, Jake, Sylphie, and the Sword Saint. “Seeing as Nature’s Attendant invited you here despite knowing what kind of guy you are, things should be fine. If not... well, it was nice knowing you.”

Jake just smiled and shook his head as he kept watching the ever-growing tree that filled more and more of his vision as time went on. Their destination truly was the heartlands of the Pantheon of Life as they would land on the Great Planet that was effectively ruled by the faction. Technically speaking, the Pantheon of Life didn’t have full control over it, as a few factions had their own territories that could roughly be equated to countries. And, yes, it was part of all the diplomats’ – especially the gods’ – job to begin talks for the Order of the Malefic Viper to have the same thing.

Minutes passed as they got closer, until soon enough, the ship began to slow down. The surrounding world became distinguishable once more, and all Jake could see filling his vision when he looked downwards was the massive Great Planet that was so huge that despite floating who-knows-how-far above the surface, it still looked like a flat plane in all directions.

With the ship flying slower, the barrier surrounding it also weakened, and as it did, Jake felt the expected mana in the air rapidly experience change. Nature and life mana rushed in and filled the air all around them, making especially Sylphie perk up.

“Ree, ree?” the hawk screeched, looking around before finally deciding on a direction to stare toward.

“There are?” Jake asked, turning to Minaga for answers.

The Unique Lifeform shrugged in response. “Wouldn’t surprise me if there was. It’s a Great Planet, after all, and those kinds of creatures do tend to like living in life-filled areas.”

Jake slowly nodded as he couldn’t help but frown. Sylphie had told him that the moment the barrier was down, she could hear the whispers of the wind far louder than before. What’s more, she heard whispers speaking of creatures like her extremely far away.

Seeing as the wind had told Sylphie this and that hybrid beast and elemental creatures weren’t really a thing usually, Jake assumed that what Sylphie was hearing was whispers about her namesake: Sylphs.

Sylphs were all powerful wind elementals of at least A-grade, though many of them were also S-grade. What’s more, all of them were old and possessed high intelligence despite being elementals. In general, they also tended to be gentle, with many Sylphs often being protectors of local areas.

Jake also remembered reading that many Sylphs were proficient in using the nature affinity, so their being on the Great Planet truly did make sense. Despite knowing that Sylphs tended to be nice to others, Jake was still a bit nervous knowing they were there because Sylphie obviously wanted to go visit them.

“Ree?” Sylphie asked just that, looking up at Jake.

“I can’t tell you not to go,” Jake said with a smile.

“She’ll be totally fine,” Minaga said, shaking his head. “Remember, she could use the Dreamy Embrace of the Benevolent Sylph I gave her during Nevermore for beating me up. As someone loved by the wind, there’s no way other Sylphs wouldn’t at least feel positively toward her. Plus, she’s blessed by Stormild. Most Sylphs view Stormild very favorably, with many of them even worshipping the Primordial.”

“I would still ask the Pantheon of Life to provide escorts,” Jake muttered.

“Oh, for sure,” Minaga agreed. “I’m sure they will also know plenty about these Sylphs. If such creatures are living on their Great Planet, they’ll surely know about them and likely even be in regular contact. Especially seeing as it sounds like we have a gathering of them.”

“Yeah, Sylphs definitely don’t sound like regularly encountered creatures,” Jake nodded.

Jake still didn’t feel super comfortable about her going, but he didn’t have much time to ponder on it anymore as the ship was very quickly descending toward the ground, making him walk toward the edge. It didn’t take long before he noticed their landing location, which made his eyes open wide.

“Is that a root?” he asked the S-grade beside him, who had a god clone hidden elsewhere on the ship.

“Yep,” Minaga nodded. “Seems rude when you think about it that we’re gonna land on top of a Primordial...”

Jake wanted to comment, but before he could, a new aura appeared that instantly made all of the people present freeze. It was the aura of a god who had come from within the ship, and a moment later, said god teleported onto the bridge.

It was a god who looked like a beastkin – which meant he could have either been a beastkin or just a beast when a mortal – and Jake guessed he was still an early-tier god. This god appeared right in front of Jake and the others, which made it clear who they were there for.

“Chosen of the Malefic One, you are summoned by the Grand Elder to his chambers,” the god said, not sounding particularly respectful, which was honestly a bit refreshing.

“Alright,” Jake nodded. “Will I return here after, or...?”

“I believe the Grand Elder plans for you to go with us from here on, but you should have time to meet up with your companions later,” the god answered.

“I’m gonna stay here and take care of these two,” Minaga said, trying to sound both reliable and sacrificial.

“You know I am fully aware your other clone is with the gods, right?” Jake asked with a raised eyebrow.

“I don’t see how that has anything to do with me,” the Unique Lifeform said, acting confused. “Anyway, looking forward to seeing you again!”

Jake just sighed as he gave the god a nod. A second later, he was teleported into one of the chambers of the gods, where he found Duskleaf sitting in a chair with all the other gods brought by the Order also present... oh, and a Unique Lifeform who threw Jake a cheeky smile as he entered.

“I have brought the Chosen,” the god who’d teleported Jake said before teleporting again to sit down in his chair. Jake felt like a scrub as he couldn’t just teleport around but had to manually walk toward a chair and sit down himself.

He completely ignored the many gods staring him down as he did this, only addressing them all when he was seated. “You asked for me to be here?”

Jake naturally asked Duskleaf directly, who just nodded in response. “Right... you will go with us to meet the divine delegation of the Pantheon of Life here to welcome us.”

“Grand Elder, are you sure it’s wise for the Chosen to join us? I know that the Malefic Viper treats him uniquely, but he’s still only a mortal,” one of the gods present commented as if Jake wasn’t even there.

Duskleaf looked at the god and tilted his head. “Were you invited here by the Pantheon of Life?”

The god looked confused for a moment before shaking their head.

“Was any of you invited by the Pantheon of Life?” he asked all the other gods, getting no response besides Minaga, who raised a hand as high as he could, but the Grand Elder completely ignored him.

“In fact, I believe only a single person here was directly invited to visit the Pantheon of Life by two influential gods from here, one of them being Nature’s Attendant himself,” Duskleaf said. “His invitation is the impetus for us to visit in the first place. For us not even to bring him with us when we meet the one who invited him would just be needlessly rude. He is a mortal, yes, but in this case, I find that utterly irrelevant, and clearly, Nature’s Attendant does too. I don’t think any of us have the right to tell him who he can and can’t invite.”

Jake had wanted to speak up for himself, but instead, he found himself silently shocked at Duskleaf’s entire demeanor. He seemed so much different than he usually was and even carried an air of authority. Truthfully, Jake had questioned a few times why Villy had decided that Duskleaf would be good at leading the academy, as in Jake’s mind, he was just an alchemy nerd who didn’t care about doing anything else than just in his lab. However, now, he saw that it certainly wasn’t because Duskleaf wasn’t capable. Jake had definitely underestimated the old alchemist, that was for sure.

After Duskleaf spoke, the gods who were opposed to Jake’s presence quickly backed off, and while he felt confident many of them still didn’t approve of his presence there, none of them showed it outwardly.

Duskleaf, after speaking, also looked at Jake as the alchemist’s voice echoed in his head.

“You have the gifts given to you by Master, right? That’s another reason why you need to be with us, but I didn’t want to mention it here,” Duskleaf said.

“Yeah, I got them,” Jake answered. “Also, I must say I’m genuinely impressed. The way you handled-“

“Jake, I hate every second of what’s going on right now and just want to get all this over with so I can begin my work,” Duskleaf cut him off. “This is all such a waste of time, and if it wasn’t because I needed something from here, I wouldn’t have gone...”

“Fair,” Jake just answered, holding back a small smile. Duskleaf was indeed still Duskleaf.

“As it seems like no one has anything else to say, let’s go. Nature’s Attendant already made contact,” Duskleaf spoke after a few seconds of silence as he stood up. “We will arrive directly in the lower outer sections of Yggdrasil’s trunk.”

Jake, who’d barely even sat down, stood up again as Duskleaf lifted a hand. A magic circle appeared beneath them all and slowly began powering up for a few seconds before the teleportation activated, and Jake realized the reason why Duskleaf used this slower method was to give everyone a moment to prepare for what would come next.

The teleportation circle activated, and a moment later, they arrived at their final destination. As they did, Jake felt many things at once. The first thing that struck him was the mana in the air. It was so dense and full of life and nature energy that it was nearly suffocating, and if this energy wasn’t actively being controlled, Jake feared it could have even caused him harm.

Secondly was the presences. So far, they’d all been able to feel they were in Yggdrasil’s domain, but it wasn’t oppressive in any way. Now, however, they were truly in the presence of Yggdrasil. Within the massive wooden hall that they now found themselves in, several figures were waiting for them, with especially two being of note for all the people present.

One of them was a man Jake recognized from Nevermore. It was Nature’s Attendant, who stood with his usual staff and a light smile on his face. At his side was a woman who’d grown out of the ground, her appearance reminding Jake slightly of Dina’s. Her aura was even more powerful than Nature’s Attendant, and instantly, Jake knew she was the Primordial whose body they were currently inside.

After teleporting into the chamber, Jake saw several of the gods present look pressured, though none of them showed it much. Not that he was looking at them overly much because his attention was on something else.

As everyone was looking at Nature’s Attendant and Yggdrasil, Jake’s eyes wandered elsewhere as he looked toward one of the few dozen gods behind them and locked eyes with a fellow hunter he hadn’t seen since Nevermore.

I hope there are reaction PoV’s of Jake’s immunity to auras. It’s always fun seeing gods wonder who Jake is.

Man's so thirsty he literally just met a primordial, and one of his first thoughts is "But where Artemis?"

I do not think suns are allowed to contain galaxies, but I could be mistaken.

Xander

TFTC :) Suggested edits: "she still had ** ways to go" missing word "a" “*Was* any of you invited by the Pantheon of Life?” should be "Were" "He seemed so *much* different than he" much doesnt really work here. Should maybe be "very" or just dropped altogether. "he was just an alchemy nerd who didn’t care about doing anything *else than just* in his lab." the end of this sentence needs reworking. Possibly replacing the highlighted section with "other than working" or clipping off the sentence after else. "*Secondly was* the presences" with presences being plural it should be "Second were"

One Winged Angel

Yggdrasil: "I greet the chosen of the Male-..." Jake: "Sup, Villy said to drop these vials off to you, scuse me i have a date this evening." Natures Attendant: "Darling, dont kill him, hes an idiot." Artemis: *Facepalms*

Gareth Morgan

In his defence, Artemis might know where to find a bow. Got to prioritise matters.

Great chapter and I can’t wait for tomorrow! I hope your wrist is doing better!

A. B. Edwards

Finally the reunion with his little elven girlfriend. I will be honest, I like his flings with the various girls, Carmen and Irin and Mira could be interesting. But if I had to choose the "one girl" I would hope he ends up with most its Artemis. The two just get along so well.

Jake’s should have gained heretic levels just on the travel here, (also minaga convos should atleast gain some experience), but Jake ought to get another big boost from this meeting, cause there is no way he acts with actual decorum

Nicholas Fleming

Not gonna lie I saw that it ended without any interaction with Artemis and had to double check that it wasn't Friday. Also please let Jake be like "Sup Tolk" this is for you and her and toss the vials while one stepping to Artemis

kinglemur

Bro saw want he wants, fuck the godly meeting, he’s got a date to get to

Daniel is ŁØNE

Artemis just feels too much like a potential girlfriend so she feels like a main, Carmen doesn’t strike me as someone who would ever get married even if she had a significant other so permanent friends with benefits, Irin seems like a willing concubine. Mira doesn’t strike me as a potential fling much less love interest, at least not yet anyway, she gives me more of a shy little sister vibe so unless she gets much closer to Jake she shouldn’t even be on the list of partners.

Kt-x

Thanks for the chapter 😁

Daniel is ŁØNE

Ignore the tree woman primordial and her Gardner husband and instead looks for the shy hunter with pretty eyes and a bow. If nothing else the man has his priorities straight

Hotep Saxis

I wouldn’t count Meira out. Duskleaf is training her to be who Jake eventually wants.

Keldra

I think it's Dina

itsdlow

Well, that’s probably the last time we’ll see Duskleaf acting so cool— but glad to see he’s still the alchemy nerd we know and love! Haha

MiffedBeatle

Just think if we got the two chapters last Thursday and Friday this would have been the Friday cliffhanger. Thank god they were missed!

Carl Never

Yeah meira all the way no one else wants it as much and theres a long way to godhood

Carl Never

Sylphs huh thats going to be cool i didnt expect that. Pretty exciting

Angie Smith

I don’t think there is any system ‘fuckery’, just basic understanding of astronomy and classification of celestial bodies: The major difference between a sun and a planet is that a sun is a star that emits energy, light and heat, while a planet is a smaller celestial body that orbits around a star. However, System ‘fuckery’ would definitely be needed if a big planet was to become a sun

brjenness

do they live in wells and are they used as a transportation system?

Angie Smith

I wonder what is going through Artemis’ head right now.

Hotep Saxis

Not sure you can call a 9th Circle hunter deity and former Chosen of Yggdrasil shy 😂

brjenness

anybody ok with: a scenario where Jake gets killed by a similarly leveled beast that is a bad match for him and Dina's gramps reviving him?

Hotep Saxis

No way. Eventually we’ll find out why he’s the Shatter Dusk Emperor. Good story there I’m sure.

CT

He wouldn't call Dina "fellow hunter he hadn’t seen since Nevermore".

brjenness

that would be the zog thing to do, but Dina isn't a hunter.

A. B. Edwards

I still support Artemis. Jake is a god in all but name and power. He will reach it and his rise as a god should be even faster than yip of yore. Like the viper says, most of those he knows won't make it so having the main love interest already be a goddess who is immortal guarantees a proper romance in his future for the long run, or at least a steady partner. Meira just is not there yet I feel. I know something will happen with them, duskleaf will see to that. But not yet and I don't know if she or irin have the potential for godhood. Carmen does but the other two, not so sure.

Riptorius

She sort of was back im the Nevermore gathering of Primordials, but that was more about the Primordials than Jake.

Tristan

I would kill for an interlude chapter with Artemis and the gods

Psyck0

I feel jake should have got a professional level for his initial thought on yggdrasil

Ty Cooper

Our little bird is definitely going to get some good power ups 💪

Carl Never

I have full faith miranda miera not sure about irin but just wait till those demon realm books. Im sure theres alot of power for her there. Jake has all that juice to help his friends with

Biggy smalls

Yeah. Plus Jake’s path to godhood’s going to create lots of powerful enemies. He already had his first enemy chosen assigned to him at like D grade. None of his enemies would be able to touch Artemis though which makes her the wisest choice. I’ve always thought that maybe Umbra might be a potential love interest. She’ll want to keep in good standing with him because he’s a direct counter to her path.

IcsMan

Jake make a big deal about being revived early on during his first encounters with the viper. He refuses any sort of revival methods if he dies in a legitimate fight. Exceptions have been hinted at by the Viper like in the case a god smites him in an attempt to get at Villy. Otherwise, being revived after losing a fight would go against his whole path. So while funny, it would be potentially and severely consequential for Jake’s path and beliefs as a hunter.

MarineDebris

Well, he can't exactly bang the tree or said tree's husband, now can he?

brjenness

how about a good butt whooping by a panther with an imperceptability blood line that get's stopped right before Jake's bloodline does the little black hole in the sky trick?

Martin Boeck

You look this up if you like if a planet has about 10 times more mass than Jupiter now it starts to emit light and at some point it transforms into a sun because the gravity creates increasing pressure in the core which at some point leads to fusion. This is the reason why plants cannot become as big as described here at least if it is solid.

brjenness

ahhh...come on. ..a death on Friday with a note from zog thanking us for our support and a later post on Monday. think of the arguments and worries followed by relief when Monday's post finally shows up.

brjenness

me too. but at least I could say I called it...please ignore my 10000 incorrect predictions before that.

brjenness

hunters can get killed by bears when hunting elk. and in a tough situation the person you can count on isn't necessarily the guy who has never lost.

Daniel is ŁØNE

She was acting shy during Nevermore due to the aura of the primordials and Jake protected her. It was such a no one hurts my girl type moment which is actually one of the reasons I find their relationship entertaining even though I’d personally probably go for a woman like Carmen.

Chef's kiss of a cliffhanger! TFTC

Richard Rader

I’d imagine it’s along the lines of what goes through anyone’s mind when you have to make the walk of shame the next morning…

Arieh Sochaczevski

Also, it’s a group of Gods. “one of the few dozen gods” isn’t describing Dina. Maybe could be Eversmile if Zog is looking for a twist, but then he wouldn’t have said “a fellow hunter”.

JJB4345_80_815

Jake's next thought: "Target acquired. Commencing the Hunt." ;-) Edit: "Step 1: Separate my prey from the rest of the herd..."

JJB4345_80_815

Dude. The Malefic Cliffer does not need even more twisted ideas for Cliffhangers. Speak not such things into existence. Now begone! Foul spirit!

JJB4345_80_815

And my first thought when I read that was: "What if Sylphie does what birds do and poops on the Tree Primordial? Would Yggrasdil thank her for the GIFT of fertilizer? Sylphie's not enough like Jake, right? If HE was a bird he'd totally do it..."

Xien

#loveconnection …. Does slow motion kick in? Do the lights go pink… lol Jake and ??? Sitting in a tree??? Ohhhh let the laughs begin

FerrumMike YT

Natures attendant cannot himself revive people Yggdrasil can. But Jake has said to villy before that if he does get killed let him be dead. In addition it would probably really fuck up his path and make him way less than he is so he wouldn’t want to be anyways

Jennifer Leigh

I think you've got the wrong hunter tagged. Artemis is much more of a go getter.

Jennifer Leigh

You got to remember who dragged who into the healing pool. Jake is very careful about initiating relationships and intimacy. He knows his bloodline causes impulse control issues.

Justin Moen

Aw man, this timed up perfectly with audible 11 being dropped. Been waiting for this for soooo long

Johnsmith

Anyone want to bet that Eversmile is somewhere around here?

Matthew Hay

Black body radiation is what you're referring to, though the collapse of a planet into a star under normal circumstances has a hidden implication - that being the planet is solid. Density across the volume is a key factor, which is why Brown Dwarfs are a thing. Though Iron Stars could also be a thing, which would be non-nuclear as well, due to atomic makeup. These Greater Planets are definitely not solid since they are described as containing galaxies. This means Greater Planets should be likened to Intergalactic-scale Dyson Spheres. The hollowness allows for a much larger scale, and people could simply refer to them as Planets since they're non-nuclear, 'naturally' occurring celestial bodies.

Greg Meller

Artemis and Jake. I want to will this into existence and become the True story. Where they eventually team up, ultimately becoming the “Hunt” faction once Jake ascends, with Villi as their resulting bloodline’s benevolent “uncle” and all the new records and stories that can result. Artemis Thayne. Let’s make it happen Zog! So much more satisfying and greater potential than a Carmen line of descent.

mapts

Weren’t the great planets described as so big they contained thousands of galaxy clusters within, basically a tangible percent of the entire universe? (and those are probably much bigger in this reality because of the size of planets being much greater) Yggdrasil’s leafs only being bigger than planets seems really small, she would be nothing more than an invisible speck compared to the planet itself. I pictured her as waaaaaaay bigger…

Phil Ritter

Nah I don’t think eversmile would dare to sneak into another primordials domain without their consent. While he can hide anywhere I don’t think he would be able to go unnoticed in their domain. He is too careful to risk potential offending/ annoying Ygg

Phil Ritter

Everyone else worried that Jake will get hounded by some jealous gods once his relationship with Artemis gets out

Phil Ritter

Umbra is a wild take but not an impossibility. We will have them meet first tho since we don’t even know yet if they get along well. Also just because she sees him as important that isn’t enough reason to start an intimate relationship

Phil Ritter

I don’t think he is that brazen to disregard and disrespect a primordial after his fuck up with eversmile. He also potentially wants their help with the fallen king matter so I don’t see him act like he would with Villy. Sure he won’t show reverence but he isn’t dumb or impatient enough to go out of his way to annoy beings he wants go build a good relationship with and he did act real nice with natures attendant the first time around

Johnsmith

He did it in Nevermore though, and that is the Wyrmgods domain.

King Nereus

There is no reason to start thinking about any of this beyond casual interactions. Benefits or not, Jake isn’t going to slow his progress or shy away from danger, and Artemis doesnt seem like she is going to engage with him on that level until he is at least a god, but maybe he really really impressed her when he protected her and stared down one of the most feared battle maniac primordials at the nevermore watch party. Unless she is still swooning over that incident, she will act to protect her own reputation amongst the other gods… whom this very chapter made pretty clear most of whom have zero respect for Jake. I’m thinking at best they will have a semi-private walk and chat, maybe she will take him hunting but I doubt it is in either of their interest at their current power levels.

Envious

Artemis is easily the best girl. Carmen is too much of just a female Jake. She doesn't provide enough of a foil.

Gwiddion

I very much doubt the wyrmgod wasn't aware of him. We just don't know that they didn't have a talk before.

Jordan Rogers

I’m excited for the fallout when Artemis gets singled out for a gift too… wonder if Jake will exhibit tact and wait till they are alone?

doctordirt

Continue picturing her that way it doesn't really make a difference

Cole Kerns

It was literally said that if Eversmile didn’t want to be recognized, no one could. The only reason Jake is able to distinguish him is because of his bloodline

I imagine that leafs for a magic tree aren't there to just absorb light/light mana, probably something along the lines of mana gathering, condensing and maximum capacity so leafs not in optimal placement aren't necessarily an issue all that to say she probably has a F--- load more than regular tree logic.

TwistedVanity

Erm leafs bigger than planets. Great planets. And you consider her small? Look at a full grown ash tree. Compare the size of a single leaf to the whole tree. It's like a single hair on your arm compared to you. Then how many hundred or thousands of leaves are in an ash trees canopy. That is how many hundreds or thousands of great planets could fit in yggdrasils canopy. If a Single leaf is as big as a great planet then yggdrasil is bigger than a universe.

TwistedVanity

Reiterate the above. Villy was impressed with Jake doing so. He stated he could not, not when Eversmile wanted to be hidden. Villy stated even other primordials could not sense eversmiles presence. And their were 4 or 5 plus primordials at the Jake viewing party and none realised he was there.

vio

Exactly, unless they're actively searching for him, I highly doubt even Ygg would notice

Because 1000 chapters of adventure and progression fantasy being shoehorned for a shitty romance story is a total 180 from how the characters have been portrayed up until this point. My ew was from the disgust of how bad of an idea that would be.

mapts

Yggdrasil is on a great planet her leaves aren’t bigger than great planets, just regular planets, which while big are obviously smaller than galaxies which contain billions/trillions of planets (not to mention the space in between) let alone galaxy clusters which likely contain at least millions of galaxies. The great planets were at one point described as containing huge amounts of galaxies within. It is on a different scale completely, yggdrasil would be like a single cell organism compared to earth relatively. My problem is that this is inconsistent writing, either yggdrasil should be described to be bigger or the great planets should be described to be smaller.

Greg Meller

Im not suggesting derailing into full blown romance, just them uniting for an all new Hunt faction and carrying on the bloodline, as has been a recurring theme throughout. Imagine adding a new faction rivalling all the peak factions with another new system monster and the mayhem that could create. Going around smashing any faction that contradicts Jake’s moral standards with the full backing of Villi, First Sage, Valdemar, Wyrmgod, Stormild, Ygg, Star Seizing Titan, Minaga, Natures Attendant et al. Can even see Umbra landing on Jake’s side despite his existence entirely countering her.

Matt

@Phil Ritter Eversmile was in on the Nevermore watch party without anyone besides Jake being the wiser.

Matt

Artemis isn't a go getter. It was mentioned she's had a lot of people pursue her but she never had any partners before showing interest in Jake. She struck me as more of a lone wolf type, being the hunter that she is.

Tom C

pfft. he is the Danger Noodles chosen! no one wants to tangle with DANGER

Tom C

TFTC!

Daniel Hamilton

Ohhhhhh Kissy Kissy smoochy smoochy

Phil Ritter

Not yet tho and while no god would try to kill him themselves they could send parties. I know they wouldn’t be able to take him down but they would surely turn out very annoying for him

Kade

I’m just curious. Did the sword saint make a freaking Pokémon joke?

Love Minaga! Also, Sandys Tom needs some more love!

Thenais

Chloe

Yay. It's spring and love is in the air. Yay!!! Tyftc

To meet yggdrasil and have the the strawhats in elbaph at the same time is crazy. My 2 favorite stories are in sync. 😁
