Carmen parried the spear with her forearm, making it slide to the side as she closed the distance and elbowed the warrior in the chest. The guy let out a groan as he was pushed back, with Carmen pursuing to land another jab.

However, before she had the chance to, an arrow struck her in the side and released an explosion of fire, throwing her off-course and forcing her to abandon her attack. She quickly assessed the situation and realized that while the spear warrior was the most dangerous person offensively, he was also the hardest person to take down in the opposing party.

Quickly moving again, she avoided a flail that consisted of a long chain with a large spiked ball at its end that crashed down where she’d just been standing and circled the perimeter of the arena while looking for the damn shaman. After a couple of seconds, she detected him, and with a smile, Carmen infused her fist with power as she punched the ground.

The entire arena erupted with rock and gravel as a humanoid figure was forced up alongside all the debris. The man quickly responded by making a few hand seals while pointing toward Carmen. Everything she’d just sent airborne suddenly began to glow with light before it shot toward her, several of the pieces merging in mid-air to create large boulders.

Punching through several, Carmen closed the distance quickly, but once more she found herself stopped right before she wrapped her hands around the neck of her foe.

Oh… right, second shaman.

An odd aura suddenly surrounded her body, stopping all her movements as she heard the loud sound of chanting. For a moment, the world began to shimmer and change, everything warping as if she were being forcibly teleported into a separate dimension.

It was a powerful skill, but sadly, the shaman had tried to use it on a Runemaiden.

Several glowing runes lit up all over her body as she yelled, releasing a blast of energy that broke the spell apart. The first shaman manipulating the rocks had managed to get away, but the annoying chanting one wasn’t as lucky as the woman spat out a mouthful of blood from having her spell disrupted so violently.

Carmen smiled as she propelled herself toward the shaman, who had formerly been hiding away. The spearman tried to help, but Carmen kicked the spear out of the way before throwing the guy toward an incoming arrow.

The shaman desperately tried to stop Carmen again, summoning a web of chains, but the Runemaiden merely moved her hand through them, the magic within the chains breaking on contact with her skin.

Wrapping her hand around the shaman’s throat, Carmen smiled and spoke. “Do you surrender or-“

“I surrender,” the woman said. Carmen nodded and was about to speak again, but the first shaman and archer made their move, forcing the Runemaiden to just toss the woman to the side and dodge out of the way.

Arrows fell from above, with several coming each second. Looking upwards, she saw the beastkin man floating up there, unleashing his bombardment of arrows. Dashing back and forth, she avoided them while focusing most of her attention on the shaman, who’d just finished a minor ritual.

The man slammed a fist into the ground, and as he did, the entire land came alive. The rock and soil rose and shifted all around her, forming hammers and other weaponry that tried to hit her, mostly to constrain her movements. Neither the archer nor the shaman’s attacks were that dangerous to a Runemaiden, but she still had to be careful, because there were two combatants fully capable of hurting her.

One of them showed her face soon after, as Carmen quickly had to dodge a club of stone to block a spiked ball on a chain flying in from the side. She was prepared for it, yet its power still ended up taking her by surprise as the Runemaiden’s arms buckled from the impact, and she was sent flying through several weapons of hard stone that scraped up her back.

Smashing into the arena wall, Carmen wasn’t fast enough to get herself free before a Powershot struck her, actually managing to penetrate her skin and making her bleed. Just then, the spearman also struck, alongside the flail user, who swung down her chain from above.

Seeing the many attacks incoming, Carmen decided these people deserved for her to get serious. The runes on her body began glowing again as they changed from a slightly blue hue to a red one. A rush of power went through Carmen’s body as she grinned.

Right before the attacks struck her, Carmen smashed her two fists together, unleashing a massive blast of red, destructive energy. Her assailants were thrown off their game, allowing Carmen to quickly get the upper hand as she appeared in front of the flail user.

The woman reacted quickly by holding up a large shield in front of her, but it mattered little. Carmen threw a fist into the shield and punched straight through as her fist continued into the chest of the warrior. Finally, her fist exploded, blowing a hole out the back of the warrior and sending them flying with half their center region gone.

Despite this show of power, her opponents didn’t give up, and Carmen barely managed to avoid a thrusting spear aimed at her neck. With her increased speed, she tried to move in and finish off the second warrior, but the archer proved annoying once more.

An arrow struck her arm right when she tried to land a blow, penetrating it, courtesy of her lowered defenses in this Runic Stance. However, striking her arm also proved detrimental to the spear warrior as he was still too close to her.

Her entire arm erupted with energy after she was hit, sending out an explosion of destructive force that sent the spearman stumbling back. Despite the shaman trying to land his own spear of rock, Carmen managed to finally land a proper blow on the spear warrior, sending him into the far wall of the arena.

Being free of the final melee combatant, the shaman could do little before he was punched into submission. Afterward, she finished the spearman, saving the annoying archer for last.

Healers had already jumped in and extracted the injured by the time Carmen was done, and with a sigh, she released her Runic Stance, allowing the runes to fade away. On that note, not having a period of weakness after using her boosting skill was quite nice, though she was told that if she managed to unlock more powerful Runic Stances, temporary weakness upon expiration would be back on the menu.

“You’ve gotten stronger, but you still struggle with ranged combatants if they can break through your defenses,” a voice suddenly spoke from behind, making Carmen turn around.

“Yeah, I really need a better movement skill to close the distance,” Carmen agreed as she looked at the woman speaking. She was a human who stood about two heads taller than Carmen, with black hair in a ponytail so it wouldn’t get in the way. The woman didn’t wear much clothing, expressly to show off her body. Not to appeal to anyone in that way, mind you, she simply wished to show off the runic patterns covering her body with pride.

“More accurately, you need to upgrade the one you already have and fully integrate what we spoke about last month,” the other Runemaiden said. “The Path of a Runemaiden is complete, and eventually, all your skills will find their Origin within the runes. Alright, maybe not all, but most of them anyway.”

“Already working on it,” Carmen nodded, cracking her neck. “By the way, the Ruination Stance is definitely good for offense, but is it really worth using it most of the time? Seems needlessly risky unless you really need to speed up a fight or are battling an enemy with defenses you can’t break through, but if you are, it seems like a bad foe to fight in the first place.”

“It is indeed risky, but as you said, also faster, and learning the concepts behind the Ruination Stance will allow you to empower your other offensive skills, even outside the stance itself,” the Runemaiden explained. “As you’ve no doubt noticed, something like Fist of Ragnarok relies on the same concepts to deal its damage. So yes, you might not find it wise to use the stance too much, but I would strongly advise you to use it regularly just for the training it provides. Also, let’s be honest, it’s fun to beat the living shit out of things sometimes, and the Ruination Stance is tailor-made for that.”

“You know what? Fair point,” Carmen nodded, especially in full agreement with that last statement.

“My points are always fair,” the other Runemaiden said before flashing a smile. “Now, that spar was a bit too easy for you, wasn’t it?”

Carmen already knew what was happening as she steeled herself and put on a smile of her own. “Can you even call it a spar if you don’t lose a limb or at least break a bone or two?”

The other Runemaiden didn’t respond with words, but instead simply disappeared, gladly showing off a far better movement skill than Carmen had; her speed was definitely also helped by her superior grade.

Quickly spinning around to block, Carmen was punched and sent flying as she pushed down a cough of blood, a smile still on her lips.

She loved these spars… even if she did usually end up with half her bones turned to dust by the end.

“From the Lumenflight… a surprising choice,” the words echoed through the golden chamber. “Oh? She passed training with a good evaluation, too. Weak, yes, but not entirely hopeless.”

“From what I learned, Yrelstromoz was someone who had shown talent when young but squandered it due to her own personality and groundless arrogance,” Aishalstromoz answered. “But indeed, she was a true member of the Lumenflight before her expulsion. Yet she was slain by the Chosen of the Malefic Viper.”

“As expected,” the voice echoed once more as a golden shimmer went through the room. Without any forewarning, a humanoid figure appeared, wearing a golden robe with two even more golden curved horns adorning his head. “Your assessment of the Chosen was indeed correct.”

“No, father, even I underestimated him,” Aishalstromoz shook her head. “I had predicted him to slay a dragon when he reached peak C-grade. Still a massive feat, yes, but from what I know, he was still more than ten levels shy when he succeeded.”

The Dragon of Gold chuckled. “For my dear daughter to acknowledge a mistake so openly… You must be truly impressed.”

“Is that surprising?” she shot back with a smile of her own. “I have met very few who made me feel instinctive fear, so it’s only natural he piques my interest. It’s my fortune to be in the same generation as him, as his mere existence will bring about my own growth.”

Even if the current Chosen of the Malefic Viper was no danger and far weaker than Aishalstromoz, as she’d recently fully evolved to a True Dragon, she knew it was only a matter of time before he caught up. Her growth would slow down now that she was mature, while his proven speed of progress would only continue.

“Should I be concerned that my daughter is showing so much interest in a man?” the Patriarch of the Regalflight asked, his tone making it impossible to tell if he was joking or being serious.

Aishalstromoz couldn’t help but smile and shake her head at the question. She’d only met the Chosen of the Malefic Viper during Nevermore, during which their interaction had been brief. True, he had made an impression, and his ability to entirely ignore her passive aura skill and speak to her casually had startled her. Enough to make her blush, as she wasn’t used to people speaking so bluntly. However…

“He’s not my type,” she shrugged.

“A shame,” her father shook his head. “Yet personally, I find that answer soothing. Besides, best not to mix business and pleasure.”

Aishalstromoz nodded, knowing what her father was talking about.

“With that said, are you confident?” he asked her with raised eyebrows. “As a C-grade, he already killed a dragon. When he too evolves, and you both meet as B-grades, what will you do?”

She smiled, the answer obvious. “Show him what a genuine True Dragon is capable of.”

“Good answer,” her father chuckled yet again before turning serious as he looked to the side, his eyes gazing through the veil between worlds. “The Dragonflight has not gained much ground in the new universe yet, but as our kin starts to appear and it opens up, our time shall come… and the first frontier will be the battle to claim the powers of the Exalted Prima.”

His aura flared, making Aishalstromoz’s knees slightly buckle under the pressure of the most powerful god amongst the nine Dragonflights. The primary reason why, despite being the fewest in number of all the Dragonflights, the Regalflight was known as the strongest. A being that could truly claim to stand at the apex… and also her overly doting father, who sometimes made it very hard to remember what he truly was.

“Oh, sorry, sorry, forgot myself for a second there,” he said as he instantly suppressed his own aura and went over to her with an apologetic look on his face. He looked almost panicked after accidentally affecting her, making Aishalstromoz shake her head.

“Dad… It’s fine,” she said, his face lighting up just from her being a bit more informal. Despite his current demeanor, she knew he was serious, though. With more B-grades appearing in the new universe and it opening up more and more, the time for the Dragonflights to make their power known was rapidly approaching, and as the most powerful member of this generation, it was Aishalstromoz’s job to stand at the forefront.

--

He breathed in as the pulse of life filled his body. With an exhale, it echoed outwards as he felt them all. Lifting his hand, he summoned magic from within them all as life appeared. A human body identical to his was created, full of life, yet devoid of existence.

A step toward something, but a failure in the new.

The empty vessel breathed, had a pulse, and was by all accounts a living being, but the second it ran out of the inherent energy of life in its body, it would fade away. Like a human before the system arrived.

In so many ways, life was truly flawed before the system compared to the new world. Life was finite by definition, and there was no true soul in the same way as there was now. For life to persist, it had to absorb the life of other things to sustain itself. One had to consume nutrients from once-living things, creating a vicious cycle.

Now, that was no longer the case. As long as one had a soul, life was inherent. If the vessel was damaged, one didn’t need to consume resources from outside sources, but the soul would provide all the energy required.

Evolving meant moving towards perfection, and one of the steps humans took was the removal of the requirement to eat. This proved that eating was an inherent flaw that had to be fixed. That consuming life to sustain life was a failed design.

Yet… life remained finite. Even with all other flaws removed, the soul would one day run out of its ability to provide fuel. Another design failure, but one that only godhood could fix. Only gods could become immortal, after all.

A universally accepted truth, yet one he refused to acknowledge. He knew how to fix the body. How to perfectly preserve life… but what was life without existence? Without consciousness to recognize it?

Sighing, the man stood up. Despite his newfound power… it still wasn’t enough. But he would get there and create perfection.

Walking out of the chamber, a monk was already standing outside, waiting with a smile on his face.

“I congratulate the Chosen of the Daolord for his successful evolution,” the man said, cupping his hands as he bowed in recognition of the man who’d just stepped into B-grade.

“Thank you,” Eron nodded toward the monk, feeling the connection of sparks as their lives were intertwined. Same as many others, with every inhale, he felt all his connections. All the life he shared. All the lives he’d touched… and as he exhaled, the billions of pulses echoed through his existence, marking them all as one.

Eron is giving me Frankenstein vibes, and I would love to see that to its inevitable conclusion.

Excellent chapter!

Fdrugc

Tftc why is 320 the last skill you gain in c tier when 349 is the last level, shouldn't there be two more?

BlackRazaras

Thanks for the chapter!

scarredrazor

I still don't like Eron... That dude is creepy AF. Thanks for the chapter Zog.

Ben Cox

Eron is out here preparing for his own Harbinger of Primeval Origins level skill to ruin the multiverse and get him hunted down. I can feel it. Tyftc

Jack

The Primal Hunter is one of, if not the only, books I've read where I'd still read it if the main character were one of the side cast, like I'd still read it if the MC were the Sword Saint, Carmen or any of the main side cast

Fdrugc

Nice to see Eron and Carmen

MrCynical

Huh. I think at some point Jake is gonna have to figure out how to kill Eron. Or at least remove him from reality.

Kt-x

Thanks for the chapter

Zimidiaz

I can't help but see the inevitable conclusion to Eron's story. Being made an enemy of both the Holy Church and the Risen, same as what happened to Sanguine, and trying to drag Jake along with him.

Siethrobo

Earlier I made a list of potential primordial chosen candidates from earth, which was essentially just Sword Saint, Carmen and Sylphie. (Honorable mention to Arnold since void gods predate primordials). The last line make me feel like Zog read my comment and went "Ha, You effin Thought!"

Ben Woodward

hell Jake's brothers story line clear back in like book three was pretty cool

Gavin Smith

I believe he will be able to create a true soul by the time he reaches S grade or maybe even A grade

Hornbach

I feel Like these dragon names are just to mess with Travis Baldree. Like "let's see how he will manage to pronounce that one" (evil laughter)

Orod

Almost feel like what he wants to accomplish will be extremely taboo. Should he succeed. This may also spark new addendums to the accords between God's. They may also decide to do with him the same as the vampire's

Gavin Smith

It will have to be someone like the GFK because Eron is the true physical manifestation of a soul.

Posiden 300

We definitely need more point of view shifts. So many characters have been introduced.

Leviathan

People are getting over confident about testing Jake. I'm looking forward to him smacking down some people back in line beneath the true Apex Predator in the Multiverse

Fyrtue

I could be remembering wrong but the Daofather is the primordial of that faction. Daolords are just one of his subordinate gods.

DeAndrea H

As I read his part, I knew it was him but I had the thought that this could easily be about Sanguine.

TKOva

Eron and Alexstromoz VS Jake and his crew.

TKOva

Carmen VS Alexstromoz and Jake VS Eron?

Aldrin

I get the felling Eron could possibly be an enemy in the future. As his goal is inherently flawed and severely damaging to the health of the multiverse.

BumAssBumAss

Kinda of can't wait for Jake to humble this "genuine true dragon". I expect her to give Jake a fight like ell'hakan's but on a slightly lesser scale.

DeAndrea H

Aisha is going to learn that Jake does not fear dragons. And they’ll both be B grades? She might actually be at a disadvantage. But with the way it was written, my impression is that she might survive her encounter and convert to team Jake afterwards. I look forward to it and love the tease of the Exalted Prima competition!

Timothy Spradlin

I think it will be a fight that turns to a round of night activities... I don't yet think Zogarth has given up on the harem route yet lol. Since, the succubus is probably still a thing

RnR_ RnR

Glad we got a but of catch up with Carmen.

Oblivion

So many Primordial Chosen or soon to be Chosen from Earth… How much is Jake’s influence and how much from other sources?

Nathan Holliday

Yea. It’s funny they think they have a chance isn’t it! You would think people would start to realize that Jake is an apex predator by now but those stupid golden dragons going to learn the hard way I guess.

Timothy Spradlin

Oh yeah, i had bad vibes on him from the get go, from him resurrecting husks, to wanting to change the logic of nature with his overriding goal... cant be good

Silver Dawn

So excited for B grade. I love the different class and profession options. It’s also nice to get the system recaps for his achievements

Takoda Heitz

Since nobody outside of Jake actually knows or even can know what event horizon actually does and the shear level of fear everyone absolutely should have of it, I don’t see Jake losing to anyone in his grade ever again. By the time any enemies that would gain from fighting him realize they are fucked event horizon is there to show them how fucked because they can’t run.

Beemoss

Tftc

InfernoDroid

I was not expecting the book to end yet tbh, I thought it had a few more weeks to a month left, but it's not a bad spot, honestly zog can start the next with Jake getting ready to evolve

Xander

TFTC :) Nice to see Necromancer Eron again :) Heres hoping hes changed his ways. Didnt expect the fucker to have beaten Jake to B grade though, that was a suprise. Suggested edits: "person to take down *quickly* in the opposing party" Rephrase to avoid using "quickly" 3 times in 2 sentences. You use "quickly" 5 times in the first few paragraphs so possibly switch another one somewhere. Swiftly, easily, rapidly, readily, lots of choices. "through as her fist *continuing* into the chest" should be "continued" "them flying *back* with half their" change to "away" to save repeating "back" with different meanings so close together. "As you’ve no doubt *mentioned*" from context this should be "realised" since shes already talking to her tutor/mentor so they would already know what Carmen had mentioned. "at which ** their interaction had been brief" missing word "point" or "time" or change the start to "wherein their..." "For life to be sustained, it had to absorb the life of other things *to sustain itself*." repeating the point. Ditch the end of the sentence or maybe just cut everything after the comma and replace it with the content of the next sentence making it "For life to be sustained, ne had to consume nutrients from once-living things, creating a vicious cycle."

ThatGuy

I think we’re about to get a time skip to B grade. Also I don’t think Jake will be fighting Eron I don’t even think Eron will be fighting much. A bit sure but not often. He seems to not care about that since he’s with the dao

SirbBrownFluffles

You know, it's actually relieving that Aisha isn't being pressured into any kind of positive relationship with Jake. Earlier in the story, it's said the weak are tools for the strong, and even marriage is a resource to be used as we saw with Meira's introduction. All in all, I'm glad to see strength actually means something.

Daniel Brian

I feel like Eron is connected to this whole dead gods faction that he's been teasing...

Hayden Leech

So there’s no way the existing order will allow eron to cure mortality. Such a massive upset to the current status quo? Plus that would mean the holy church’s Holy Spirit batteries would last forever. Immeasurably increasing the holy mother’s power. The blightfather would NOT stand for that. Guy is going to get the Sanguine treatment fo sho.

Hayden Leech

I thought Carmen was the only mortal runemaiden. She said so when she first became one. The last one ascended to divinity.

Luis

What if Erons vitality is not infinite but his bloodline allowes him to add the life points of everyone he interacts with to his own.

ABTelford

I’m…getting the feeling Eron will become a villain. A super strong, near impossible to kill villain. And…DRAGONS! I’m so excited for all the dragon shenanigans that will be coming our way! 😎

Nathan

Now that Jake has gotten more control over helping evolutions with Jasper, I wonder if he will be open to help people on Earth. I don’t know of any reason why he wouldn’t want to help Hawkie / Mystie / Rick the troll / Irin / Scarlett / even the Sky Whale. It seems like helping them try to make it to godhood would be really beneficial to him as that would serve as a great foundation for his pantheon.

fanfan8000

You neglect that it is impossible for him to "cure" mortality. He would require a way to forcibly extend the lifespan of the soul or to replenish what was lost. Not to mention he already seems to neglect that the natural order still requires death even with the system.

fanfan8000

You have to remember most will beat Jake to B grade due to not only his soul mutating requiring more experience but also his class and profession if I am not mistaken.

Bjarne Hansen

I suspect, that when Jake evolves to B-grade, he will become to his true heritage ... he will become "The Primal Hunter", or the "high human" ... as he's not human, he's more. And at that grade, he will be close to par with his bloodline.

Zen

Goldilocks from never more party. Appeared with the dao willpower girl

jackson singley

Eron, up to some truly dastardly shenanigans once more

SetherAedekae

I wonder if we will see Jake go through those dungeons or if it's gonna just be a timeskip to right before the evolution. Also I wonder how his soulflame things been going

Dani

Eron is one of two people from Earth that would have become a primordial-level chosen without Jakes influence. Maybe not in B-Grade but eventually. His bloodline seems only one step beneath Jake’s. Same level as El‘Hakan.

Childish Jordino

Marriage is a resource, but is only really forced on the weak, such as Meira when all that was going down.

Nathaniel France

Yeah I didn’t read anything overtly hostile from their side of things. Dragon arrogance? Sure, but I won’t fault them for that, not like Jake and the Viper aren’t also arrogant. I’m hoping she becomes a rival but along the lines of the Noboru clan head whose name I’m forgetting for reasons. In a way almost like the Primordials themselves, a generation of cohorts who “grew up” together if you will.

Alex

I’m convinced that Eron’s infinite health ability is because he’s linked his health pool with others, allowing him to use other people as health batteries. It’s been mentioned before that he’s raised the dead into something like homunculi by filling them with his own spark, so he’s got to have who knows how many others to draw from.

Childish Jordino

I'm excited to see what's gonna happen with his race, will he be reaching his proper grade a B? Or possibly higher?

Alex

If I’m right about how Eron’s infinite health ability works then he already is a villain. In Eron’s first chapter it’s mentioned that he can raise the dead by filling them up with his own spark — effectively turning them into flesh golems. Jake’s intuition tells him that Eron doesn’t have an endless health pool, he thinks he has lots of health pools. I think Eron pulls off his infinite health trick by siphoning health from other people — specifically all the people he’s raised in some demented parody of resurrection.

DeAndrea H

Oh man, if he becomes a “high human” I want multiverse reactions. Humans are already considered baseline weak but with crazy growth potential. Can you imagine if their baseline moves up a grade or two? Also, being the first high human seems like it should come with a system title! Too bad he has the Shroud bc the shock the first few times he’s scanned in battle post-evolution would be hilarious!

LongMickeyRicky

I pray to god that its a time skip to lvl 249 and then we get to see B grade next week or sometime soon because sheesh has c grade been here a while

tigerfishie

TYFTC!! 1. Wanna know who the other runemaiden is, 2. I LOVE Aishals dad so far! Really can’t wait to learn more about him, 3. I literally sat there like “what the fuck- IS THAT ERON?” while reading and my god I’m so happy. I missed him 😭😭 I’m even happier that my initial reaction of “damn this guy is a FREAK” from his very first chapter wasn’t for nothing.

Wen L.

Carmen and Eron check, nice. Wonder what Carmen will think once she learns Jake and Artemis are now official. "Was he the guy that got away" or "Damn, who can I play with now" :P Regalflight Dragon is a more elevated version Yrel, she'll make a nice opponent for Jake, unless her dragon flight tries to get an arranged marriage for her. I can imagine her dad demanding "trial by combat"

djthomp

Ahh sweet, Eron-made horrors beyond my comprehension. Princess dragon here giving off a bit of a different impression to dad than she did directly in front of Jake, she needs to be aware that Jake the Dragonlayer is definitely off the table at this point.

joel southard

Thank you for the chapter

egulio

tftc

Lawrence Dillon

Why do i have a feeling aisha is about to learn a hard lesson resulting in Jake eventually hunting down her entire flight

Assault1217

Probably won’t care much. Artemis said she was fine with other lovers (as long as she is first wife and mother), so she could continue to have a fling with Jake. The person who would care the most is Jake. Since he finds polygamy weird. She also wouldn’t care about position in a relationship since like Jake, she really only cares for fighting.

Arieh Sochaczevski

Thanks for the chapter! Am I alone in getting bad-guy-vibes from Eron? His whole path creeps me out.

Tommy

I get such a dodgy vibe from Eron. Really think he’s gonna become an antagonist as his obsession with immortality for mortals will go overboard, and Jake will have to end him. TFTC!

Rewdan

Wow the stage is being set for the Exalted Prima event.

Rewdan

Thanks Zogarth, I like the reintroduction of the guys and I’m looking forward to seeing how Goldilocks handles Jake

Steven Tuttle

Jake still has to consume the piece of yip right i wounder how that will go

Rob Lyon

I think he's going to become the new sanguine and piss off a bunch of gods

Rob Lyon

Na I just think she will end up getting humbled I highly doubt it'll come to Jake killing her or anyone else in her flight But you never know

Rob Lyon

Yeah Aaron's definitely going to need to get taken out at some point Even if he's a chosen of a daoLord there's no way the other gods will let him give him inmortality to everybody because that will mess up the status quo even more than what sanguin did I honestly doubt the system itself will allow it.

rossmwi .

Is there a deadline for Jake to acquire his soul flame?

Sergej Fel

I believe it was mentioned several times that technically there is not a deadline. The earlier the better of course, but some do not claim one until late S-grade

Rob Lyon

If it does come down to a fight between her and Jake I doubt Jake would kill her she'll probably realize halfway through the fight she doesn't stand a chance and give up

Hayden Leech

Show me the Vespy!!! B grade vespy has got to be absolutely frightening.

Mikesch

I had the day off today and 13 chapters to read, while outside all is windy and wet. What a great day! I really enjoyed the whole fight and I am looking towards B grade, new enemies, exaulted prima event, soulflames, old friends and (of course) Tom! So happy to have stumbled upon this Story in Audible a year ago 😄

JW Saxby

Good catch up and hints there 👍🏼 Tyftc 🍻

Erebos

Theory: Valdemar is also a High Man, and his transtency is merely a racial ability that Jake also possesses.

KenTX325

I think the upgraded pallet skill could lead to a lot of improvement. He can also do the gate of enlightenment. He should have some big power ups around B grade.

KenTX325

I think Jake was the only “potential administrator” left in the Milky Way galaxy. This sounds like a whole 93 universe competition with others like the golden dragon from other universes.

KenTX325

The Daoloard is a primordial right? Potential to have several primordial chosen from one planet.

Tommy

Yeah he is one of the 12 primordials👍👍

Lemonsqueezy

I thought that the only people that could fight for the Seat of the Exalted Prima had to be from the Milky Way galaxy or at least the 93rd Universe.

Jeremiah Lambert

Yes and no. The golden dragon is coming from outside the 93rd universe to challenge and take the seat of the E. Prima. Only dragon we are currently aware of is the frost wyvern on earth. And he would in no way be able to even consider joining the regal flight. (Golden dragons)

Thenais

carmen being carmen, dragons being dragons and eron smoking weed

Koof Tron

Next dragon target aquired!

Phil Ritter

I wonder how the dragonflights plan on fighting for the world wonder. It should be quite a while before B-Grades are allowed into the new universe and to date we haven’t gotten any confirmation that seats can be stolen after the Guardian event.

Hunter

Yeah I thought the exact same thing. However the regal flight god said soon their kind would begin to appear in the new universe which may allow B grades from outside the universe to side with the beasts but idk just a guess because I was like that’s confusing. However Jake already had placed himself as the pinnacle entity of the 93rd universe so that would be kinda boring if it wasn’t like any B grade from all universes can participate.

Fyrtue

I think if Eron ever achieves his goal and cures mortality it will come at an incredibly steep price.

Alex

That raises an interesting point actually. The System is very big on the whole 'everything has its price' thing. It even exacts a toll on Transcendent Skills - which are meant to be outside of The System. So the question is: what exactly are Gods paying to live forever? It can't be free - not with how stingy The System is - so what does it cost?

Jordan Rogers

Thank you for the updates on tertiary characters, honestly some of my favorite chapters and tid bits.

Kaladin

Did Villy ever read the book Jake got from Eron?

William WIlson

I imagine some of the 93rd universe has a planet where a dragon evolved and claimed that admistrator seat.

Kazam

Jake just needs to help someone evolve to a dragon so Aisha can actually see a genuine true dragon might as well start his own dragon flight while he is at it

Rob Lyon

Jake has like the most powerful bloodline in the history of the multiverse or at least one of them He does not need a transcendent skill

Rob Lyon

Yeah his own creations turned against him That could be cool but I honestly don't think the system or the multiverse can allow him to succeed

Ty Cooper

Anyone else feel that a battle between Scarlett and the dragon princess would be a great fight. Little princess comes to make trouble and trouble finds her kinda situation.

Corvid

Oh man, I'm so happy to hear in from Eron. He's always been one of those characters that just exist in the background most of the time, but when he makes a showing he REALLY does it. Honestly, I think he's probably a perfect example of lawful evil or maybe neutral. He does what he does for a reason and follows a code, but damn is the way he goes about it kind of reprehensible at times. Chosen of a Daolord too though, big gain. Lots of earthling chosen or near chosen of the primordials and primordial adjacent gods running into the exalted prima arc. Teeing up the regalflight-fight was great too. Also like how it wasn't her really being bashful at nevermore because Jake made her all UwU, but more like that trope where the popular chick expects the loner kid to fawn over her, but he can't be bothered enough to care that her father owns a megacorp and it catches her off guard.

Corvid

Frostpeak Wyvern is evolving! Frostpeak Wyvern has evolved into Draconic Frostfang Elemental!

Corvid

"Yes, these are my ten million B grade children, I love them dearly. You may address them as the Assdagger Legion."

Alex

Scarlet would get her ass kicked. It wouldn’t even be close. Aishal ranked in the top 10 on the Nevermore leaderboards AND she’s a True Dragon. Scarlet is not on that level.

Xerecs

The regalflight is in for a rude awakening when Jake finally reaches his true racial grade and evolves into something either on par with a true dragon or perhaps even stronger.

Niki

TFTC! please give me the next one :D I need to write my theses again :(

Joshua Little

Thanks for the chapter.

Tamathon

I know this is out of nowhere, but I’m hoping Jake helps Villy with the Obelisks. It would be cool having both families meet and be all awkward with a few hawks not knowing what to do:)

AfroMocha

Any thoughts on what it could be? I was thinking “Primal” as a race but don’t think that will work as much anymore than when I first thought of it a year ago

Era

It would be more logical that the help come from Eron, though Jake sure

Xien

Oooookkkk Eron was creepy before…. Now his creepy factor is x1000 are we becoming (again) a distant antagonist? #shudder

ET

Carmen's fight brings back memories of Kill Bill with the ninja gal.

Alex Salamanca

Sounds like Eron's goal is to achieve a Transendence on the level of the Holy Mother or Sanguine. I think such a thing is gunna be difficult even for him, as Villy and Nevermore have said those with a Bloodline makes it that much more difficult to achieve it.

Philipp

Since the first time reading about eron in the tutorial he’s kinda creepy It feels like he will be able to control all those he touched one day And to form a „perfect“ peaceful society where nobody dies he will need to control them and their lives

Jan Backhaus

WAAAAIT!!! what if eron doesnt habe many healtpools in an abstract way, but in a literal way? What if hes using health of people he once touched or healed? So everytime he exploded in yalsten, somewhere someone just died?

Brentley Meersman

See I don't think this is the case since erons entire thing is preserving life to the max and making everyone immortal via his means. I doubt he'd just throw away ppls life for his own power

Death56

Eron seems like he might be going hivemind route

Heiko Schlichting

Did Jake and the Viper ever talk about Eren's notes after Nevermore?

Chloe

Tyftc

zran

no, at least not on screen, but you know how jake is, he always forget about whats on his inventory

Dave

Ttfc

Rachel Clements

TYFTC. Eron always felt shady as s**t.

SilverSentry

Eron is so weird. He's always doing or saying weird shit.

Corey bess

This is my ONE gripe. Why hasnt jake talked to villy about the book eron gave him. It feels like a major plot point connected to villys wife and kid storyline. If its not time to explore that fine but is the reason really going to be that jake forgot about this world changing research for 15 + books???? Or is it like jakes weird intuition that (it wasnt the right time?) It feels illogical that something seen as so crazy like curing mortality wasnt brought up to villy even as a joke or something. Not once during any of their soirees? In a century? Youre killing me!!!! Lol tyftc

ChickeWin

I don’t get the Eron hate, hes such an interesting and one of a kind character/path.

Parker Bond

Anyone know what chapter Aishalstromoz appeared in? I'm assuming it was in Nevermore...

carson

Everyone's talking about Eron, meanwhile I'm now waiting for Aisha to fuck around and find out who the real supreme B grade is.

Fyrtue

Yup. I don't have a chapter number but it was during the after party.
