Real question is what will his first challenging fight of B grade be against. I'm thinking maybe an b grade dungeon boss soon. Or maybe a B grade space monster.

Sort of expected. I remember so many people loving the hunt master skill/concept when it was introduced, but Jake is complete ass at people management. Even without the limit of not being able to hunt alone, it's still a bad path for Jake no matter what.

I’m curious when the prima guardian event will end, and what will the world wonder be? I’m hoping it will be something related to the first sage like a legacy left for man and since earth and the Milky Way galaxy seems to have a hard line to the root of man I’m hoping for a dungeon library or something like that, something similar to the myriad paths event where people can gain knowledge or skills from the dungeon. Anyways thanks for the chapter, you really know how to keep us on edge, I find myself cursing after every chapter frothing at the mouth for more!!

A current theory. Could be / probably wrong, but that’s the fun part of theorising! TFTC!

You know...a really basic combo with his new Sight skill would be the other First Sage legacy skill we know of, Identify. It will be interesting if the boundless horizon tries to develop Identify in that direction or if he can use the teachings from the sage to maybe break out another sacred skill upgrade.

When I read this "selection" parts I always remember running jokes I Noobtown. When companions of the main character was screaming on him that pointless ruminations on skills and upgrades he knows he will NOT choose are torturing them. We all knew which choices Jake will make. Only really surprising fact in last several chapters is that Viper did not show surprise that Jake apparently choosed leadership spirit...

I've been suspicious for a long time that Prima being nearly the same word as Primal isn't an accident, and that this World Wonder was created by the system for Jake's integration to eventually be used best by him. Jake messes with Origins, the Wonder messes with Paths, both together might be the full package.

Jasper way? I am curious to see, if this applies to his sphere. Like technicolour spherical perception "See" can be applied loosely. Combination with gaze is tricky as "hunter" gaze invokes direct combat between souls and "horizon" gaze weakens his soul. But Jake may push for combination of them with his bloodline. It may even be similar case as his earlier chosen dancer sence evolution. And there is great potential of application in alchemy

I feel like It’s to closely related to his bloodline to become a transcendence, since I believe it’s been stated they can’t overlap or that you can’t earn it with the help of a bloodline. Now you might still be right since Jake’s bloodline is special in that Jake can turn it off essentially but I’m not he would do that. Another possibility is his bloodline attempts to force the system to make the skill a transcendence the same way Vily speculated it tried to do with moment of the primal hunter

B-grade nevermore is now available as well as b-grade prima guardian event. I expect if Jake isn't pulled to the event, he would be soloing nevermore as there isn't a competition anymore to worry about.

We're really getting teased a lot about his origin energy usage in classes, but ig what it can do is too strong to be used properly in B rank (as in Valdemar fight properly), maybe in A rank we'll start seeing some more offensive uses...one can hope

Hmm. Sight won't boost everything as crazy as I initially thought since it sacrifices stability for Perception. Since stability is extremely important for alchemy and his rituals, this could cause too much destruction to his projects. Jake also uses Invocation when he wants to boost his projects and Invocation doesn't allow for other boosts, which Sight definitely is But if he wants to get real specific with a skill upgrade at the gate of enlightenment? Yeah, he could download some concepts at hyper speed maybe 🤔 Using it during Path of the Heretic-Chosen could be wild, if he's even able to use skills when he goes to.. wherever it is that Path takes him 🛫

It’ll be cool if the new skill open the door to some niche and fun ocular abilities. I imagine Jake can already see a lot more even in term of something like light spectrum compared to a normal human, but even if it’s not combat viable, his eyes being able to shoot heat vision or create minor illusions for pranks would be funny. For investigation, scrying or divination would likely be helpful.

1)Curious about bow evolving. 2) Jake needs some new equipment. Needs to go to the loot tower for an upgrade. "*One day*, he would definitely integrate Primeval Origins concepts, and he wouldn’t be surprised if he *one day* got directly offered a class" repetitive phrasing. Odd his bloodline didnt force upgrade the boundless vision. Its similar to his sphere and that bloodline be jealous figured it would of already taken over it and made it uniquly better. Might happen when he actually uses it though

YES! The long awaited moment has arrived!!! Latest chapter of Primal Hunter manga is Sylphie's birth! I gotta say its just as cute as i imagined it. The manga is as close to source material as possible without all of the internal monologues and concept breakdowns. For us who know all of that already the manga is just perfect extra goodness. TYFTC ZOG. New class is just great, unless.....Jake and his creations enter a labyrinth as a party. *SHUDDER*

Huh, I was wrong, he didn't pick secret n.5! Makes sense. He's doing very well as he is, a straight upgrade is probably best. The new skill looks powerful and fun. Basically a perception turbo boost that can increase his multipliers with other skills as well. Damage based on perception, turbo damage. He's getting better at sniping, doing more damage with singular attacks, which is necessary when facing stronger foes. I'm a bit sad that he can't play around on Earth anymore, apparently. It happens that the protagonist outgrows his planet, but I hope Earth will have more to offer. Strong dungeons and just good hunting opportunities, no existential threats or big drama. I'd like Earth to remain useful and viable.

I hate to criticize but I’ve never liked the long reviews at upgrade, looking at/listing long details of things we’ll never see again and that don’t matter to the plot. That said, this one was more interesting than the last. Still, more live action /interaction needed, less review/exposition. I can’t wait for the conversation with Villy.

I agree. I feel like this is either the second or third time in the entire series that he has picked something other than the last option. That being said, I saw one comment earlier that said they loved the 5 skills/classes selection, so given that we are nearly 1300 chapters in, I don’t think zogarth will change it. I wouldn’t mind if the descriptions were shorter or if Jake didn’t spend several paragraphs internally explaining why he wouldn’t pick an obviously shitty/against his path skill. Hmm do I want to take the common rarity, worship villy, lead a group of people, give up bow and arrow, mind control, 0 perception, light affinity, skill that stabs my eye every 10 minutes. OR Mythical skill that provides a 2000% bonus to perception and makes my arrows pass through time and space… hmmm. Choices, choices

Notes on books and audio: First, I went back and restarted the series with audio this time. That was a trip. The reader Travis Baldree. Yikes. Jake and other characters sound good, but Villy sounds like he has a lisp, Sylphy doesn’t get her Ree’s, and I can barely understand The Fallen King. Second: Who didn’t understand that Chris and the Primordial Fanatic were Not the same person? (Hint : reading comprehension is kinda necessary for reading a series) Third: Zogarth ; I do let the audio read the ‘previously on The Primal Hunter’ - when it’s available. It wasn’t included in some of the books. I like to use ’read and listen’ on kindle. A couple of books, the audio track didn’t have that. Finally, welcome back from vacation. I’m just up to book 9 with the read and listen, and I’m sure it’ll be great to hear the whole Nevermore arc with the Audio. Glad there’s a few more chapters to go here. I purposely waited until there were a few. Now, on to the next chapter. Thanks for the chapters.

Like [Eye of the System] Who loves the perception stat, you do, yes you do, and here it is, finally, the class you've been looking for. +2000 PER per level, no other benefits.
