This is a little confused with the His/him switches. Possible reword to: "Jakes revelation of some minor information about the outside world managed to interest the horned frog enough to overshadow any other emotions, as he calmed and allowed Jake to continue." This clarifies the language while maintaining the same meaning. "It also played a small role in that he found their treatment of him objectionable." This sentence is poorly constructed. I suggest rewording to "That he found their treatment of him objectionable also played a small role." or just ditch the "in" “Do you have any *veracity to* that claim?” should be "way to verify" if you want to use veracity youd have to go something like "Do you have any ways to prove that claims veracity?" "Everyone knows S-grade *games* after A-grade in the world outside," should be "comes" "for the *simply* reason that in the grand" should be "simple" "the multiverse was simply *too* unimaginably gigantic that there were still a lot of them. " should be "so" to fit the grammar of the rest of the sentence. Sure, but you've also got to consider their unique situation. They live in a very hostile environment. Lots of death and fighting. Not to mention they're beasts so they can feed off of the environment and treasures. It's basically the perfect place to grow up if you're about leveling quickly. It sucks for the average joe. The average joe dies from the environment itself.

Hahaha, so many of us expected Jake to push going for a big snake visit and it was so much better instead, what a great chapter. This is the sort of conversation that would normally net Jake some levels if it was Gods instead of A-grades, maybe that could still happen depending on what they talk about next. Also, that reveal that the Blight affinity originated as the Blightfather's arcane affinity. I've been suspicious for a little while that the various god-related affinities started life as their arcane affinities but is this the first time it's been confirmed? Maybe that was mentioned by Villy way back when Jake created his but I don't remember.

Time for the MC to FLEX... NGL, I had misgivings when Jake was given the ability to flare Villy's powers as his own momentarily... It didn't seem in character for Jake. For someone who wants their own achievements under their own skills and merits, and who will gladly accept death w/o the chance of resurrection, just to 'feel' the potential consequences of every battle and decision they make. So the ability to flare another's power, to save his life or make a point, seems anathema to one of the major pillars of his character.

Its really not though because Jake takes what he wants and needs from Villys legacy. Being able to flare Villy's aura is a perk of being the chosen. Jakes not trying to have a fight to the death to the death here or push the limits of his alchemy. Also he kind of doesnt have a choice. While he has proven he could have escaped he has no chance against any of these A grades. They would one shot him. I domt see how him reasonably using the benefits of beinf a chosen somehow goes against his character.

This was the A grade dragon from the Chosen ceremony upon feeling Jake show off: "Albaromoz was shaken as he saw the Chosen standing there, his presence drilling into his very soul. Despite the man being so much weaker than himself, he still felt pressured by it. Coupled with the aura of a Chosen, it was truly suppressing."

I know it's so late in the story to be asking, but in the first couple books zog talked about how as one goes up in grades they slowly form into what they consider the perfect version of themselves, hence many women being overwhelmingly beautiful at high grades. How far does this reach? If someone thinks peak human is like 9 feet tall, will they gain an extra 4 feet as they go through grades? Is it some magical cosmetic effect, or truly physical? If it's physical, what stops someone from becoming significantly larger? Hell, they could even make themselves more aerodynamic- what's the limit?
