Holding out on Giamatti is a lot like William Hurt getting an oscar for one scene in History of Violence. Luke is right it always works.

As a Seattle Mariners fan, I'm tempted to quote Gerry Adams' statement on the death of Lord Mountbatten: "What the IRA did to him is what Mountbatten had been doing all his life to other people"

Just commenting further on the World Series, what if Ohtani had gotten busted for his obvious gambling addiction?

Great to hear Clive Lewis mentioned! He used to be my MP and I campaigned for him in the GE 2017. Truly one of the few remaining good Labour MPs.

The final scene seems to be in an abandoned office not an apartment, I think it's notable that it seems to be full of outdated computers, draws a parallel with Pattinson's car that for most of the movie seems ultra modern or futuristic from the inside but at the end we see its outside now smashed and covered in graffiti I think implying that like the man in the abandoned office who used to work for pattinson and the now useless outdated computers pattinson and his computerized car have gone through their lifespan and the combination of computer decision making and capital that rule the world no longer have use for them and they are now to be discarded

It's kind of hilarious to have a member of the royal family canceled for sex crimes. Hasn't being able to do sex crimes been a big part of royalty? If you're going to crack down on that, maybe they should also do away with the nepotism, cut off their welfare, and make them get real jobs 🤔

I was born and raised in LA, so I was rooting for the Dodgers. Jays are a great team, probably the better team, but the ball just bounced the other way. It felt a lot better to break the hearts of the Yankees fans, I’ll say that. Jays have great fans and an amazing lineup with standup guys.

also an unenlightened friend of mine got on my case for criticizing on IG the billionaire owner of the dodgers for investing in a private prison company that operates ICE concentration camps. All I say to that is: abolish billionaires, give the teams to the people. Save baseball.
