Celebi taking Brock is so interesting though is there something to the time stream that required Brock to intervene in some way. Celebi to me always seemed like a cosmic IT specialist in a way its role being to make sure the time stream stays on the right course and that any paradoxes that pop up are solved. Maybe Brock was needed to solve some kind of paradox. Also given Brock doesn’t have any of his Pokémon having had to handover his belt to his family he’s in the past with only Ryhorn with him. Is this an opportunity for him to build up his party with some other Pokémon. Some dark types like Absol or others like Dratini. A knight having a dragon would be ironic. Also what will happen with Celebi will she fight alongside Brock. As a mythical Pokémon she’s actually quite a powerhouse as mew has previously shown us. Also now that we have confirmation Brock is the one to meet Prof Oak there will be an interesting shift in their dynamic. A lot of what Prof oak knows might have been taught to him by Brock actually, and not just knowledge or aura abilities but how to be a brave person I. The face of adversity how to be kind how to be a good trainer. In some ways Brock will have been just as much a mentor to past Oak ad current Oak is with Brock if not even more so given past Oaks younger age then when future Oak started interacting with Brock when Brock was an adult and not needing as much mentoring.

I definitely knew that he'd be going back in time. As others stated, Brock only having Rhyhorn was a surprise. The biggest surprise for me is that I had thought that Salvadore was going to end up with him as well.

Awesome ! I think we all knew it was coming. However as a non-anime watching I wasn't aware of any time travel shenanigans, it's only because of the comments. If I hadn't read those I would have been way more in the dark but with obvious clues. Thanks ! Can't for the rest of the arc !

I kinda saw when it would be coming the moment he had to go down to one pokeball, seeing as if he went back in time with a full squad of elite and champion tier Pokémon, he’d basically trounce any fight meant to provide suspense, given the natural “power creep” of a few decades of technological and scientific discovery.

I knew he was going back in time but him no having any of his team with him was a surprise. Leads me to believe he’s going to be here for longer than the original movie. It would be funny if another celebi shows up and takes them further back in time. Then it happens again. And it becomes a series of domino events that he and Sammy has to put together out of order to fix.

Nah. I vote Galahad is a time traveler that Celebi nicked and took to the future. When they get back, Celebi is going to send Galahad back to where he came from (he was basically just a transport for Celebi to get close to Brock at a time when Brock would be dressed as a knight and without his pokeballs)

Same! I totally thought the interaction between Oak and Salvadore a bit ago was a hit that Brock brought his brother on the time travel journey (not that Salvadore had a chance to be the time traveler)

Huh, everyone kinda saw it coming. But, not gonna lie, I'm more than a bit disappointed that Salvadore didn't get a story arc to shine in. Pokemon research nerd Salvadore cosplaying as a armored knight riding to the rescue of a young Samuel Oak is a perfect recipe for inspiring Oak's journey to eventually beckoning known as *the* Professor.

Those weights are way too little. Is a gram in this world 3 or 4 times the weight a gram is in our world? Horses in our world often weigh upwards of half a metric tonne. Some even more than 1 t. And considering Rhyhorn has so many thick stone plates, 220 kg sounds like it could be the weight of his head alone... :D Are you embracing the nonsense weights of the game Pokedex? ^^
