Given how stupidly huge the image has been getting I'm ramping down on the size of it. Look into the tag if you wish to see the changes from month to month more clearly.

Sleepnir

Nice, awesomely steady throughout the summer.

Yet you make such slow progress? woah

Sleepnir

So I take it the $16,500 threshold for the second animator is based on the "your share" amount of pledges, rather than the total amount of processed pledges, since that total was passed for both August and September already? I'm not sure I've ever seen another Patreon do milestones based on the "your share" rather than the total, which is why I ask.

zosa

about half of them do, it's more practical than counting by the gross, you can't pay someone if it all comes out for taxes

Sleepnir

Odd practice since 90+% of Patreons don't show their earnings, so the only numbers people see (to know how close a milestone is) is the total, before fees. Similarly, Patreon sends out the "milestone achieved!" emails when the total crosses that threshold, not the "your share."

CloudMeadow

Actually no, the totals shown on the front page are AFTER the fees and patreon's cut, based on who is currently pledging. Not how much we've made for the month. That's why the numbers are so divergent. Look at "Your Share" and compare it to our front page, it's a lot closer. If we weren't using a pay upfront system, those two numbers would match exactly. The "Total pledged at the end of the month" is a serious misnomer because as far as we can tell, it counts folks with declined payments, who aren't technically pledged anymore. We can't remove them without banning them. We have a lot of folks who ust stop paying, can't access cntent until they pay again, but who don't remove their pledges.

Sleepnir

Oh, so the amount on the Overview page is actually the Your Share? Well damn, consider me educated. Thanks for the information!

Afflickted

Woah, what happened that caused such a steep drop in one month?

SlackerZach

If I had to guess it's the end of summer for working/former working college students

From what I have learnt, the huge part that rans this type of game is the story, the x scenes, and how smooth the gameplay is (still not sure about the combat cuz thats a BIG LEAP). Right now, it lacks story and the smoothness of gameplay (fps drops when im in clover town, and the farm, because of massive art details). Just a headsup, if there is going to be anymore expansions on the farm, the fps problem will get alot bigger and it will take away the immersion of the gameplay. I've been pledge for almost a year and this is the overall problem I came up with. (I ran this game on MSI GT80 Ti, which is the next gen gaming beast laptop).

Are you talking about the drop for October? If so, it's because it's the beginning of the month. Some people pay then immediately remove their pledge so they aren't automatically charged the next month.

Gystes

It's a small team making an animation heavy game. What kind of progress are you expecting? It's not like they have dozens of employees who can pick up the slack when one of them gets sick.

Gystes

Looks like we've hit another plateau. I'm hoping the recently updated that went public can spark interest in this game. We really do need a second animator and programmer if you want to prevent backlogs.

CloudMeadow

Yep, if things continue we might have to reorganize the team and drop certain priorities. It depends on how things play out.

CloudMeadow

You're right, we'll have to put in some time for optimizing both areas. It'll probably happen with the next big farm update.

Gystes

Interesting. You already started to create a website, right? I look forward to see what changes you decide to make.
