Artakons

Well it was discussed a lot already, but basically everyone who supports this project grew a brain, and realized that Spurple did not "betray" his own team. He just left the project, and took the stuff that belonged to him. Breeding Season died from lack of management and poor decisions made by Hbomb. The only thing is H didn't have the guts to own his mistakes, and instead blamed everything on Spurple. You can clearly see that H is nowhere to be found. He took the money and set sail. Meanwhile Spurple invested his share in a new project, has a very competent team and they're all doing an amazing job ;)

Its just too bad Breeding Season had to die, it was a great game, the potential was endless.

the problem isn't that Spurple left the Breeding Season project. The problem is that he didn't sell the art he own and so killed Breeding Season.

Skullmageddon

Nope, You got that all turned around Spurple never killed Breeding Season Hbomb himself dealt the fatal blow also keep in mind that Hbomb could have saved Breeding season at any time but he didn't even bother so that tells you something.

Artakons

^That, and also, what would be the purpose of Spurple selling his art? It's not like there would be anyone to make more of it, so what? Did you want BS to have two different art styles suddenly? Spurple took his art with him, so that he could avoid H using it to drain money from supporters, while not doing any actual work (because keep in mind that S works in advance, so there was lots of random art that either was not put into the game yet, or was not even related to the game. Still, Hbomb might've used those in order to keep the patreon going for nothing)

Well said, Artakons. For those that don't know, all H-Bomb had to do was hire another artist and animator, create new art assets and re-implement them into the game. The coding, the structural warhorse of the game, was already there. It's like pallet swapping but with brand new art. It's time consuming but art isn't necessary to have a working game. In fact, it's usually the last on the list of things to get implemented.
