Hey folks!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It's time to dive back into House of the Dragon. I'm excited to watch two episodes with you this week!

well saturday was the anniversary of my mother passing so not the best weekend sadly hope you had a wonderful one though nat . i tried watching your xmen 97 reaction but syncing was so far off it was almost impossible so had to give up fingers are crossed this runs smoothly :) anyways enough jibba jabba lets press play

Nat brought up that she'll start watching two episodes together down the line once she gets deeper into HOTD as that's her main focus. X-Men '97 Ep1 and Ep2 were released together but Nat didn't know this so naturally she only watched the first introduction episode. But she can always watch Ep3 alongside Ep4 next week. Then leave Ep5 as a single reaction and then do Ep6/Ep7 together for the following week. And that brings us into the final three episode story arc that can be watched all together. Should led us up into the Deadpool and Wolverine Disney Plus release around October so going fresh from X-Men '97 into Deadpool & Wolverine would be a fun little jump.

You are correct, Nat! Daemon's insistance on being called 'your Grace' took everyone by surprise because that means he's making a play for the throne.

Wish you a happy week and hope you hold those happy memories of your mother close. I lost my Grandmothers last year and their one year anniversary is coming up so it's been difficult without them. But I try to focus on the happy memories, provide my grandfather with some community and making sure he's okay, along with my own parents as well.

Daemon's title is King Consort. He should be referred to as "Your Grace." In the same way that Queen Cersei was in later years when she was married to Robert. I think that Lord Strong's concern was that his conversation with Daemon had a very obvious lack of mention of the Queen. The rest of your confusion will be answered in later episodes.

Most people have answered the first part, but as for "taking the throne" I think Simon just didn't expect the Riverlands to be the entire force sacking queens landing. Like daemon has made no mention of any of the forces rhaenerya was adding, so it sounded like daemon was just taking the Riverlands and then taking them to take the throne. Could be wrong

I think Simon Strong was a little confused because a) Daemon seemed like he wanted the throne all for himself and b) he expected the pitiful forces of Harrenhall to help him accomplish this

It's crazy how the last scene echoes the scene in S1 where Alicent takes Rhaenyra to the sept to pray for her mother. Also Alicent's swearing on her mother is a callback to when Rhaenyra lied about having sex Alicent is in denial because if what Rhaenyra says is true then her actions are too horrible to bear

To be fair, the small council already plotted to put Aegon on the throne. It doesn't matter what Alicent told, they did it anyways.
