Oh this is great news! Season 3 is excellent tv hidden behind a much more difficult-to-bear Defenders season. Watching a recap of it is exactly what I've suggested to friends who were put off by the idea of having to catch up with other shows on order to continue DD. Very much looking forward to a season 3 rewatch.

I would’ve ate up a Defenders reaction tbh, mostly for Sigourney ❤️ I knew you’d love her showing up 😭 A lot of people write it off, and admittedly I never liked the Iron Fist actor in that role tbh, he just couldn’t keep up with the others imo. But Matt, Elektra and Jessica carry the show enough for me and I think it’s honestly rewarding to fans of those characters that watch it It’s kind of has the perfect amount of comic book ridiculousness (The giant dragon skeleton under NYC lmao) but the ending with Matt and Elektra is heartbreaking! “We’re gonna die down here” “This is what living feels like” being a parallel to their lines from the end DD season 2 when she says “You love New York” and he replies “I’d give my life for it. But there’s one thing in this world that makes me feel more alive. That’s you.” “We’re gonna die here.” “No. This is what living feels like.” As they’re holding each other while the building collapses around them, Elektra fully remembering Matt and hers past by this point, accepting their fate and just happy to be together in each others arms in that moment 🥲 that’s good writing idc!!!

Defenders wasnt as good as daredevil or jessica jones but it wasnt bad. Some people just love to hate and with how popular the netflix mcu was initially, jumped on the fact that defenders wasnt as good as previous shows.

Technically, the Netflix Daredevil isn’t THE DD, because the rights to classic print canon were still held by the 00’s Ben Affleck movie— So they had to use the alternate Frank Miller canon where Matt didn’t have radioactive senses from his accident, he just…trained really hard. (Hey, love or hate the Affleck version, at least they got it right.)

remember being in high school and dragging my friends to the theater to see passengers cause of Chris Pratt being in guardians and space movie. movie was shlop writing abysmal and had to hear it my friend group for like 2 or 3 weeks after

I agree that the Defenders is skippable... I didn't hate it but I didn't love it ... BUT Krysten Ritter did her best trying to carry the whole thing... Her interactions with the others, especially Matt, were golden... and the recaps didn't do her justice.

I'm glad you watched the recap. And it's fine that you don't want to watch the Luke Cage And Iron fist show. Cause Luke Cage is good, but there's not really anything in it that's important to know. And the Iron Fist show wasn't really that good and all you need to know is that The Hand caused a plane crash that Danny and his parents were in which killed Danny's parents when he was a kid. Then some mystical monks found him and trained him and he got the Iron Fist powers by beating a dragon. I would however suggest watching Jessica Jones Season 2 since you liked the fist season, and the Punisher seasons cause those are really good too :)
