Think it might be fun to watch something scary with you guys after LOTR! Lmk your thoughts on the films below :)

Comments

Thomas Hansen

Hope you'll consider checking out the Hobbit movies in the future. I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, but I (mostly) like them quite a bit.

Caleb Clark

Any of these would be super fun

Caleb Clark

And I’d say alien and the thing are probably actually the scariest, but jaws is my favorite haha

Anonymous

Alien! A classic, and with a strong female lead!

Matthew Jaszyn

Huge Carpenter fan! Really hope you react to The Thing!

Anonymous

The first LOTR trilogy is scary 👀

Jabin (Aelic)

I recommend watching The Hobbit movies after lotr

Tom Tomlinson

if you haven't seen Jaws yet--you should see that....

Jack the Narrator

I'd love to see you react to the Alien series. Or at least Alien, Aliens, and Prometheus. And you must watch The Thing one day. A classic in every right.

Neil Silverman

All good movies worth watching, but Alien is by far the scariest IMO (and my favorite of the choices). Really enjoying your movie reactions so far!

MotoDork

Looks like Alien might win at the moment. But if you watch JAWS, make sure it’s the 100th anniversary Blu-ray release.

Doubting Thomas

Anticipating your reaction to the Star Wars sequel trilogy...

John

Alien is a classic, and if you like it, I also recommend the sequel, Aliens. Aliens is more of an action-horror and Alien is more of a suspense-horror. Both are excellent. Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection, not so much. They can be enjoyable but they're not in the same league as the first two.

A.J. Workman

I know you're taking a break from Star Wars but I really hope you get to 7, 8, and 9 soon. They're all great, 8 being my favorite of them all, and I'm a life long fan that grew up watching the originals daily

TheSleeplessDragon

Have you ever watched any Studio Ghibli films? I highly recommend Princess Mononoke.

peter spartz

Thank You I enjoyed watching this with you. Stay well

Aaron Taft

I love your ambition Jack but Natalie is not going to make it through all four of those movies. lets land on Alien, she has seen it once, and see how that goes.

Curaitis

No pressure or expectations just a list of great Movies for you to consider in the Future . I try to list only must see Movies, dont know if you already saw some of them. Sin City 1-2 300 Moon (slower but great acting and story) Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (if you like Chinese Fairy Tales this is a must see) Mad Max (all 4 of them, Fury Road is considered as one ofd the best Action Movies ever made) Shawshank Redemption (every Movie Fan knows it and its the best Movie ever made) Equalizer 1-2 John Wick 1-3 Matrix 1 (2 and 3 are not a must see but they take deeper look into the World) Avatar Bourne Series (one the best Action Movie Series out there) 2 Guns (Good Buddy Action Movie and really funny) Alita Battle Angel (great Manga Adaptation) All Tarantino Movies!! ;) They are all must-see´s Terminator 1-2, 3 is ok, 4 could have been great a 5-6 are garbage. The Hobbit, as you started now with LotR this is a must. Gladiator James Bond (if you like them the new ones with Daniel Craig are nice to watch) MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) If not watched already) Batman: The Dark Knight Trilogy As i said, this are just recommendations cause i think they are some of the best Movies ever made. P.S. Its real Fun to watch your Reactions. Great Personality.

Aaron Taft

What about Pitch Black, and the sequel Chronicles of Riddick? I would like to see that.

Nathan Dickson

I don’t know if you’ve seen Game of Thrones before, but anyone who posts their reactions to a first-time viewing (going into it knowing as few spoilers as possible) gets swarmed with viewers. The fans are still rabid for that show.

NobleSon32

Have you seen the Mummy trilogy? I highly recommend it! I would be interested to know which of these you haven't seen; The Mummy Trilogy The Jurassic Park/World Series Hunger Games Series The Divergent Series The Entire MCU

Levi Mata

I’d add some more Nolan to this great list! And maybe even some Villeneuve! - Interstellar - Inception - The Prestige Villeneuve - Arrival - Sicario - Blade Runner 2049 - Prisoners

Man Of Steel

So, I'm brand new here. Just found and watched your LotR vids on Youtube and decided I liked what I saw enough that I came here. I will refrain from voting in this post as I'm not really into horror movies, and wouldn't want to impose my opinion on a subject I know so little of. And I hope we get to see the full, unedited versions of the Lord of the Rings reactions on Patreon. Speaking of LotR, I would highly recommend watching Cinemawins Youtube videos on the LotR trilogy after you've watched the movies. Not necessarily reacting to them, just watching on your own is fine. They do a great job explaining some of the more confusing elements and answering questions you may have, all while pointing out the little details that are the reason so many people consider these movies among the greatest movies ever made.

Man Of Steel

Also, I suppose as a side note, since your description says you're interested in reacting to TV as well, I would recommend Supernatural.

Curaitis

She shouldnt watch it to preserve her Feelings and Excitement. I couldnt imganine that one Movie could destroy the whole Skywalker Saga but Episode 8 killed Episode 1-6 willingly. Its the same like Terminator Dark Fate. One Movie killed the whole Franchise. She should made her self a Favor and forget about Epsiode 7-9

Curaitis

Epsiode 7-9, espcially 8 killed the whole Franchise and made the Skywalker Saga a Joke only to make the Sequels a Mary Sue Festival. Cant write more cause if she wanna watch them i dont want to spoil her but every true Star Wars Fan knows that 7-9 are just crap cause of Kennedys Agenda.

Anonymous

since u watched the prequals to star wars aswell are u going through the hobbit movies when u end the lord of the rings triology?

nataliegold

Hi Gamal, probably not at this time. I want to keep varying things up on my channel so my plan is to watch the winner of the current poll that is up next

nataliegold

I've seen the first Mummy film, all Jurassic Park (not a fan of the World series personally, but LOVE the older films). I've seen all the Hunger Games and Divergent movies as well. I have not seen most MCU films so that's definitely on my list to do fairly soon!

David of the North

The Thing is the scariest film there, buuuut, I'll understand if you want to ease yourself in with Alien. :) Other suggestions for trilogies or multipart franchise films. Mad Max (4 films) Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End (3 Flavours Cornetto Trilogy) Back to the Future trilogy The Mummy 1 & 2 (3 and the spin-offs aren't worth it). John Wick (3 films so far) The Matrix trilogy (films 2 & 3 are divisive but I'd love to see your take on them) T.V. series Firefly (14 eps) Fringe (100 eps) The Expanse (40 eps, ongoing) Battlestar Galactica (76 eps) Do you like anime? If so Cowboy Bebop is a MUST. Frequently topping Best of Lists time and time again. Even for those who don't regularly watch anime. Also ANY film by Studio Ghibli. Happy to join your Patreon. Love your genuine reactions and personality. Looking forward to the rest of my fave films of all time. The Lord of the Rings.

nataliegold

Thanks for the suggestions David! I'm not a big anime person (although I did grow up with Pokemon haha). But I'm open to watching pretty much anything so will add all these to the list!

Jack the Narrator

While I hope you stay more focused on movies versus TV shows, I do think the series Firefly and it's follow-up movie Serenity are absolute must-sees.

Game Wizard001

Just because they are cheesy in a good way, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles films (the original ones from the 80's and 90's) would be a future suggestion.

Evan C Davies

After watching the first 6 SW films, I'd highly recommend watching Episode 3.5 Rogue One

Doug Willour

I just recently rewatched the alien franchise and would love to see your reaction to Ripley's arc.

wallace cady

As much as I feel bad that you are screaming horror girl, I have to admit, I will enjoy the reactions...

wallace cady

I would agree about Rogue One though, really good movie.

Doug Willour

I don't know if anyone mentioned it yet, but Alita: Battle Angel movie was jaw dropping amazing in my opinion. Very few movies have amazing visuals and action yet still can tug the heart strings like that did for me.

Anonymous

You need to watch The Mandalorian for sure! :)

Anonymous

New subscriber from Canada who is honoured to be compared to a hobbit! Not interested in scary films, but looking forward to the rest of the Lord of the Rings :) Other suggestions if you haven't seen them, Narnia Trilogy, National Treasures, Pirates of the Caribbean all movies, Timeline, Hobbit Trilogy, Cool Runnings, and if you want to do any tv shows, Primeval

CyrusB

Hiya Natalie, if Alien wins (it looks like its going to) seriously consider watching Aliens (Alien 2) next; or at least put it on the poll for possible next movie. Alien is a landmark sci-fi horror film; Aliens is 2 hours of Bad-Ass.

Curaitis

Forrest Gump, you will never forget it.

BadMoon84

If you're gonna do Alien, then i would like to suggest Alien 1 all the way til Alien 4. Then Predator (the one with Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Predator 2. Then you can start on AvP (Aliens vs Predator) 1 and 2. After that, you can watch the rest of the new Predator movies. :D

Shea Harris

I'd like to see you react to The Fifth Element eventually.

Anonymous

Lots of recommendations already, though I'll add one to the pile if you want something a little more light hearted and fun (considering the emotional rollercoaster both SW and LotR can put someone through) -- Monty Python and the Holy Grail. If you haven't seen it I think a reaction to it would be hilarious and very entertaining.

Anonymous

The Fourth of July is around the corner. You should watch a patriotic film. Here are a few suggestions: Hacksaw Ridge, Red Dawn from the 80s, Lone Survivor, Saving Private Ryan, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, American Sniper.

Curaitis

Several more. Quite possible some were already posted, so sorry if. Equilibrium The Martian Departed Indiana Jones 1-3 Seven Untouchables Constantine The Last Samurai Braveheart Shutter Island Fifth Element Logan The Book of Eli I am Legend Hancock Dredd Maggie Shrek 1-4 Pirates of the Carribean 1-5 Planet of the Apes (Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War of the Planet of the Apes) Princess Bride IT 1-2 World War Z Signs

mrhalfbit

If we are going to be watching Alien, which it looks like we will be, I think it would be a good idea to watch Aliens the sequel immediately after. They are a good pairing to each other and really all you NEED to watch to really understand the franchise. There are MANY other ones to watch but these two are the quintessential (I just copied and pasted that word from google.)

mrhalfbit

Here is just a list of my favorite films I'd love to see you react to: It's a Wonderful Life Lord of the Rings Trilogy The Breakfast Club Home Alone Jurassic Park Interstellar Arrival Apollo 13 Catch Me If You Can Back to the Future The Great Escape The Revenant Stranger Things would be a perfect for TV

mrhalfbit

I'd also love to see your reactions to the newest Planet of the Apes trilogy, Andy Serkis, the man who plays Smeagol plays the main ape and he is brilliant.

Anonymous

Some fantastic films listed here! Can I suggest Man on Fire, Schindler's List, and The Life of Brian

Erik Lundmark

All 4 are Gold. If you've missed it, or haven't watched it recently, could I suggest "The Shawshank Redemption" ?

Ken Donato

Choose either The Prestige or Memento - both are Christopher Nolan classics you would absolutely love (or try Interstellar)...

nataliegold

Noted! Not sure I can do Schindler's List as a first time reaction tho....I'll literally ugly cry the whole time

SleeplessHours

If you haven't seen them the Monty Python movies are great. The Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life. Others i would like to see your reaction The 5th Element, Kingdom of Heaven, Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick , Castaway, Gladiator, Blade, Starship Troopers and The Matrix to name a few.

Erik Lundmark

If you ever do a suitable poll in the future for this movie Plz plz plz pleeese include "Brazil" from 1985 ("final director's cut / American cut" 142 minutes).

Joe

If you choose to watch Alien next, you NEED to watch Aliens right after. A lot think the sequel is better!

wallace cady

agreed, Aliens is better, but the later sequels not so much. Skip Alien 3, 4. Prometheus is ok and Alien Covenant is good.

Anonymous

I feel like Aliens was just a completely different genre. Alien was much slower paced and heavier on the horror whereas Aliens was much more of an action movie. And I agree that Alien 3 and 4 are pretty easy to forget haha

Robert Reichle

Alien and Aliens are a must to complete up to that point of the story. There's no need to go beyond that at all unless you just really get into the concept. It's two classic movies followed by a series of "ok, I guess they made another one." Not bad that I can remember, but the only thing I really can remember about them is that the word meh kept coming to mind over and over.

Bill Bell

Alien would be fun!! Another great Ian Holm performance (RIP)

nataliegold

Haha I definitely will watch Aliens as well. Probably will switch to something else after that ;)

Caleb Harvey

You should watch the hobbit and Mr Monk (Series) you'll enjoy those

Anonymous

You might enjoy The Boys found on Amazon Prime.

Anonymous

MadMax is amazing too!

Allan Rumberger

If you do watch Alien or Predator, please don't feel pressured to watch the whole joined franchise. I can only speak for myself, but I suspect most people would only really be interested in watching your reaction to Alien and Aliens, and maybe Predator if you're interested in some 80s machismo. None of the other Alien or Predator movies are good or essential.

Andy Jordan

I agree. Alien 3 is okay, but it's really only notable as the directorial debut of David Fincher. Some people might argue that Prometheus would be important for the Alien franchise, but I think it actually works better as a stand-alone film than as a part of the Alien world. For '80s machismo, I think Commando, First Blood or Top Gun would be good entry points, since Predator is more of a satire of the genre. So it might be interesting to do Commando and Predator back-to-back, seeing an exemplar of a genre and then a response to that, especially since they both have Schwarzenegger in them.

Anonymous

Please watch the Hobbit movies after LOTR :-)

Anonymous

The hobbit

Anonymous

Some old 80's movies I enjoy, still, are Big Trouble in Little China and The Goonies.

Anonymous

I’m worried that Jaws, Alien, and The Thing may be too terrifying for you. Fair warning, they are awesome movies but if you were affected by the younglings’ deaths then...

nataliegold

Haha so I've actually seen both Jaws and Alien, but only once. You're right. They are definitely too terrifying for me. But I aim to please!

Alan Kobb

Really? You need something scary after Eowyn went up against the Nazgul?

Ian Forbes

Loving the reactions, I recommend Harry Potter, Band of Brothers, and Children of Men.

Anonymous

I think you should definitely watch Spaceballs before you finish off Star Wars. If you watch Alien/Aliens it has to be at night or at least a dark room.

Bryce Allison

Really enjoyed watching your reactions to LOTR. Huge fan of the series and I love seeing people being introduced to the world. I'd love to see you react to the Hobbit movies as well. Animation is a bit different, but the journey is still great. Also recommend the Maze Runner series too! Thanks again

Richard Maurer

All the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films - in order, of course. But maybe that's just me..... who cares - MCU next!

Anonymous

If you haven't seen 'The Prestige' or 'John Wick' I think they would make great reactions! Keep the content coming, absolutely love your reactions!

mrhalfbit

I second 'The Prestige.'

Steve Schroeder

LOTR wasn't scary enough for you? LOL :)

Anonymous

“Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” would be nice one day.

beetle

The Indiana Jones trilogy, for the best action-adventure series ever filmed.

Scott Faye

I know its not a movie, but i would really like to see your reaction to the Clone Wars tv show. It definitely makes the star wars prequels more meaningful.

Scott Faye

Also the Hobbit extended edition of course.

Scott Faye

Whats your opinion on watching some classic Hitchcock films like Psycho?

Scott Faye

The Labyrinth and The Princess Bride are must see modern classics.

nataliegold

Haha I've seen Psycho and The Birds. Am definitely open to watching others (or revisiting the films mentioned)

Nathan

I think Jaws has a lot of great human moments, quiet moments, acting moments, and multiple characters you can connect with, as well as as some humor, along with the jump scares and suspense, that make for a more varied experience (and more varied reactions, than Alien, for instance -- which is a great classic, don't get me wrong, and perhaps more intense! -- but less varied). Does this make sense? Others agree?

Pete Bowers

Alien is an awesome movie! My only thing is you've said you've seen it before, so it seems like it's not a good choice to watch for a reaction video. Just my probably unneeded 2 cents.

nataliegold

I've only seen it once and it was a couple years ago so I feel like the reaction will still be decent. Plus I've never seen Aliens so kinda need to do Alien to lead into that

Pete Bowers

The sequels. I'm having a "DUH! Why didn't I think of that" moment. Yeah, you do need to watch that again. And the Predator movies would lead to the Alien VS Predator series too. There's a lot to enjoy about your reactions and film journey, but I'm also having fun remembering and deep diving into my own movie watching history. You are quickly becoming the face of movie nostalgia at our house. We started re-watching the movies before we watch your videos so we can be more refreshed with the movies when we watch your stuff. That's a lot of watches in that last sentence. Anyway, thanks for responding, and we're looking forward to whatever you decide to react to.

Matthew Duley

While Alien is classic, personally I'm a bigger fan of Predator. Just an all around better paced film. Not to say Alien isn't amazing, I just find it a really slow burn and not really a "horror" film.

Robert Hughes

At some point in the future, you're gonna want to watch Labyrinth (w/David Bowie) :)
