I have unfortunately been THAT person, in love with someone else, and it is completely life-consuming. It started with infidelity (on both parts, horrid, I know), but when everything came out in the open, I faced the wrath, and he denied, and then proposed to his GF. But I was still hung up on him for another 3 – 4 years. This was over 16 years ago, and thankfully, I am over it all now, but at the time, I was broken. I don’t exactly have the strongest mental health in the world, so it kind of shattered me (which I legit deserved). Thankfully, now, the only thing I’m still upset about is the fact that I willingly behaved like that. But the strange part is, at the time, it genuinely seemed to make complete sense. My brain absolutely lied to me to convince me that what I was doing was fine. I’ve been cheated on (before this), and it hurt, so I’ve been on both sides, and they both suck. The only positives I think I can see are that my other half and I at the time were on the verge of breaking up anyway, so whilst the pain was inevitable, the deceit was out of order. He met a new girl and is now very happy. Also, the other guy married his GF, they now have a daughter, and are off living their lives. All I care about is that she is happy. He can suck it.

Great to hear you came out on top, Bex! Like Burton says, "Be Good to Yourself!" Don't let others determine your happiness. I was hung up on someone for way too long and I didn't even get to be WITH them! And I haven't been on a date in almost 6 yrs, but I'm happy and no longer heartbroken. And about that one guy- (Shawn & Gus): "He can harmonizing), 🎵🎶 SuuUUuUuck iiIiIIIiIIiIiIittttTttTTTtt!" 🎵 🎶 (Patrons, if any of you haven't seen "Psych", I highly recommend it)
