Hey Everyone,

Earlier post this week because I'm flying out very early on Monday and didn't want to leave you all guessing. I'll be in Iowa until Monday the 13th and I don't want to count on myself getting a chance to write when I'm over there. For that reason, I'm going to take a week break and have chapters for 20th of October. I'm sorry about the delay, but if I get some, they'll be uploaded before then :)

Hope you guys enjoy these and that you're enjoying the release of Quest Academy: Legacies on Audio. Always love hearing which voices resonated with people, and what favourite scenes were.

Okay not really about these chapters but I just got a mistake from the published books with Blathnaid last name. Some parts is written as clean and other it is McLean. I’m caught up to these chapters I’ve shown this series to my family and in book 1 it’s written as clean book 2 it’s McLean in chapter 20 or so in the new releases it’s clean.

I'm having trouble rectifying something about book 4. If Robert is so worried about revealing the skill imprinting technology to Bastion and the guilds, then why did he threaten to pull funding from Quest if they didn't demonstrate their skill imprinting technology in front of the entire Hunters's Bureau? It's like he went from "Show everyone what you can do, or else" to "Why did you show everyone what you can do?!"

So I will echo everyone who fully enjoyed these chapters. However, I worry there is starting to be a real disconnect with Sal and the resources he uses. In getting all this stuff sent to him, he is blowing through millions in resources without really thinking about it. As cool as the base is, on a CLASS DAY TRIP...for SCHOOL EXTRA CREDIT...he just blew not only the resources acquired on the trip by the students/hunters (for which they should have been able to get some compensation for), Guild resources from sanctum, personal resources from Arsenal, and whatever resources Enigma started with. For a base (albeit a very cool one) that isn't his, or the guilds, or in a place of strategic significance. I know that it makes for a fun story, and I'm all in on that part, I just feel like Sal is being very flippant with material that in many cases is incredibly hard to come by. I know the tools allow for synthesis, but even that requires base materials and cores, etc. This is not a criticism as much as a "this is going to be a problem at some point" comment. That said, Enigmas challenge on what they'd make of the site by the time he got back is the ultimate "hold my beer" moment by Sal

Just finished rereading after listening to legacies and the flow is a lot better when taken as a whole really digging this book but then again this cliff hanger has me itching

Absolutely brilliant. I love everything about the outpost. It’s wild. A carnivorous safe space;) I can’t wait for the next set of chapters!!!!! And Gallant, what are you cooking up for us? I can’t decide what I’m hoping for. I want Gallant to be a good person. I would enjoy seeing Sal and Gallant fight a demon together.

Quick question: in chapter 79 of Book 5 Sal mentions that the clip-on hair accessory is heating up to defend against the Psionic attack of the War Spider and he needs to make something with Warded to give to Chatfield. Though around chapter 61 the appraisal on his tempest warden cap lists Warded as an ability and that it defends against Psionic attacks. Why didn't he just give Chatfield the hair clip since he was already wearing his cap, rather than making a new clip with the spider's eye?

He did? He was able to make the hair clip because he was already warded by the device he made to protect himself from Erica. That was the device on the back of his head. He made the hair clip to give to Chatfield, who made more for the others using his ability. Sal was the only one not stopped by the initial Psionic attack because of it, giving him the chance to help the others.

I don't know if anyone pointed this out but in chapter 44 there is a line about Barry looking at Anna with "recruit her" look in his eyes and then in chapter 45 he says don't be soft recruiting doe eyed supports. If I found out she got in because she was nice I'd lose all respect for you. It sounds a little contradicting

I also might be wrong but when Blathnaid brings up Yasmin Darya and Sal says hes never heard of her, I'm pretty sure I remember Barry bringing up her name to Sal during a conversation about recruiting defense. He may not know her but he has heard her name

So for me Chapter 46 the start Sal is complaining about not having Perfect ability anymore. Wouldn't he have adopted some of the qualities of the perfect ability for as long as he had it?
