Hey Everyone,

Here are the next four chapters. Let me know what you think! Also, massive massive thank you to everyone that's commenting with their thoughts. It's been fantastic getting a little bit of validation that we're moving in the right direction. Skill-Master is continuing to get a bit more love, and you'll hopefully see some things that make sense.

I fully believe that there will be some chapters that are weaker than others, but right now with the time limits I have, I'm just powering through as I keep going. I'll be making notes of everything for edits at the end of the process, so don't hold back if there are things you don't like or if there are things that don't make sense. :)

Thanks again for all the support. And welcome to all our new members that appeared out of nowhere! :D

Joran Spans

This is looking delicious, thanks brian!

Thomas Todd

Great chapters, I'm assuming that Divinity suddenly saw a possible future where Fabi is either a saviour or is someone else important that prompted her message

Joran Spans

Some great chapters they were. Though i really thought u would see sal talk more about posibbly making a guild. (Ok fine, i just want to see him make a guild with people who he has helped. And see him become op)

Rod

tftc!

Don Stanwick

Great chapters. I really like the direction the story is going.

AJ

I love it this is how it should go but I think after the tower he should give what Erica said some real thought if he can make the skills fit his gates and body perfectly then he could literally flatten the demons on his own or make his own group of badasses

Tim Walloch

Thanks for the chapters!

daniel bartels

I can't wait for next week to see where it all goes

Love the negotiation at the end of c10!! i feel like there are some parts that were cut too soon (Divinity's text and Roche's conversation), they don't flow well into the next scenes, it feels like part of the chapter was cut off prematurely bc of word count and a cliffhanger attempt. it's not glaring, but i feel like i missed too much between one scene and the other, like, mainly his conversation w Divinity bc it wouldn't make sense for him to see that text and just not respond, and idk if that should happen behind the scenes. Besides that, i cannot wait untill he gets cleared to alter people's weaves soon. Ps.: i'm suprised he still hasn't looked into the prices for skill imprints/implants since day 1, i feel like there are other abilities that could complement his current ones, and i'm pretty sure it was stated that students could pay for their imprints/implants even if they didn't get into the saviours class, so it doesn't make sense to me that he doesn't even know how much that would cost 3 books in. Anyways, can't wait for next week!

Rielgesh

Loved the chapters! The punch of Divinity's text was sweet, and I have to agree that not having any more of that convo feels very abrupt and missing. Especially given all the other dialogues we've gotten between those two. Can't wait to see how Quest spins this to the guilds, or their reaction to learning that Sal is Myth!

Karlo Braceros

This is the dopamine hit I needed. Great chapters!

gideon ferrier

Thanks for the chapters. I think the descriptions of the skill weave would work best with 3D mathematical terminology. Like parabolic arc = a smooth curve through 3d space, and, matrix = a 3d space in which defined points are established, Linear = when in reference to 3d space is a straight line. Vertex = an intersection of 2 or more lines hyperbola = is a u shaped curve. That slowly looked to becoming straight at the ends. There is some great terms and there proper definitions under geometry in https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathematical_object

gideon ferrier

While I am not an expert at mathematics I do have a hier degree of mathematical schooling than most if you want help with terms or something like that feel free to direct message me.

Alteron

Thanks for the chapters, this book is going to be amazing.

BrianJNordon

Really appreciate this offer. I'll need to come back to it at an editing pass, or wait until Sal learns terms like that to describe the weaves, which might be more realistic. Thanks!

Kieran

God damn I love this series so much! Really enjoying this part of things and it's nice to see Sal in his element.

Travis Snelgrove

Seeing Sal do shit like in these chapters is what makes this series great.

Travis Snelgrove

Not gonna lie, as a person who could care less about math, that sounds terrible lol just a basic readers opinion.

John Curtis

I love the fact he is only gonna do supports just hope he sticks with it for a while

Jeremy

And this is still his first year ... just the beginning of the second semester...can't wait for more chapters to fill in all the holes. Awesome writing!

Aidan Zimmerman

Love how Sal can impact so many people, seeing the things he can do is incredible. Love the reaction of the headmaster. Awesome work, looking forward to the next chapters.

Jazmine Gladney

Hi! I really like where this is going! I love how detailed you’ve gotten with Sal’s process of manipulating threads! I’m definitely going to reread those parts! I am a bit concerned about Sal is processing his values but I appreciate the journey. We ended the last book with him questioning his actions and deciding to work harder as a hero, but it feels like his values aren’t cemented—which is ok! It’s actually realistic that Sal doesn’t have this grand realization out of nowhere that completely solves his problems and insecurities. I guess I’m just hoping for some balm for the anxiety I get when Sal is questioning himself and his life and fearing the worse. On this note, I wonder when Sal is going to talk to Divinity about her tendency to judge him for things he hasn’t done yet (or has done in visions). It’s definitely putting a wedge between them and I wonder if there are some ethics at play there: should Sal be punished for something he hasn’t done yet? And is it dangerous that he reacts differently from the visions she sees in order to avoid the future that divinity is reacting to? Are these small changes in the future significant or insignificant? I know divinity has mentioned that she sees many possibilities so it may not matter but I still wonder 😂 I can’t wait to get the answer to these! The only thing I don’t quite get is the use of “overpowered” in this series. If this book is about people with abilities that aren’t completely understood, why do they refer to some abilities as “overpowered”? As a reader, it brings me out of the book a bit and makes me think that the character almost see themselves as a video game character. This obviously isn’t your intention and I’m not sure if other readers feel the same way. Either way, it’s not really a big deal. Anyways, great job! I can’t wait to read more!

John Curtis

honestly so can I but he would do it as a friend not for any other reason. My question is can he make something for the team controler to help her not hear everything or somthing in her weave.

Tikiza

for some reason the last booke ended before the expedition and i slowly learn about it now. did i miss some chapters?

Rapsten

The last book had the expedition (outing). They haven’t done the tower yet

Tikiza

now i have to re read that one i guess i missed a part or i forgot about it

Tikiza

Wichtig chapers weŕe the outing? The last oncw i ve got wäre up to chapter 60...

Rapsten

The book goes up to chapter 83. Brian didn’t post the last chapters on Patreon before release unfortunately so you’d have to get it on Kindle

Rapsten

Given what the last chapter explained…maybe? It’ll come down to how her dual weaves are working and if the ability is just an always on ability or a corrupted one

Rapsten

Keep up the good chapters. I’m still waiting to see what Sal’s overall approach for the tower is and his pen ultimate role he sees himself in a situation he has to go into one. Thinking more of how Upgrade and Forge went into the previous one for the care of the students. Sal given a situation like that doesn’t seem like he’d run but suit up in Mecha armor and go in

Rapsten

It’s still in the first semester I believe. Saviors were supposed to be chosen at semester end

Rapsten

I agree with you. There’s a reason most “popular” books are between 7th to 9th grade levels. Less thinking more enjoyment

Rapsten

I’m questioning the same. I mean shouldn’t she be dealing with the 4th attack on their base? I can only think she was trying to see what Sal was going to mess up next and it lead down the rabbit hole to Fabi doing something extremely note worthy (for some reason I’m thinking it makes Divinity jealous)

Jeremy

So my question is will he continue in school to become a savior(we all know he's a lock!), or drop out and become full-time with the academy and open up one more spot for another potential candidate for the saviors program?

Tikiza

Ahh is there a Release date for audible? I Listen to a lot of books during work...

Rapsten

There isn’t yet. I think they start soon recording but I’m also likely wrong

Stefan Holze

My fear, is that he get strongarmed to help, from the Delvers Guild (Shade). The Reavers (Villa) will complain, but work with him. Shade, so I'm thinking, didn't let a "no" for non crafter-Weave-upgrades standing.

John Curtis

no clue about the reading level stuff but as someone who barely passed basic algeabra all that would do is confuse the hell out of me. If you were to say that having the foundation weave gave them say power of 1 but the second lvl would give them a power ranking of 30 or whatever giving it multiplicative effect would make more sense for me.

Tony

Still in the first semester and either the last week of the second month or the first week of the third month. The pacing is weird cause it looks like book 3 is going to be a week long

ShadowOfHavoc

Very much enjoying the series and these chapters however the more I read the more annoyed I get with Quest and the academy. In chapter 10 Quest's says "that decision will likely be out of our hands when the Hunter Bureau and Guilds catch wind of this. They'll be sending people over constantly for the Argento treatment, so we'll have to find a way to strike a balance." I'm sorry but that's just wrong and quite honestly I found it to be poor writing. The only thing that redeemed it was the talk about only using his ability on Supports but we all know he will use it on divinity and on Galant in the future, a Controller and an Offense. The ability is Sal's and quite honestly he can chose to use it however and on whomever he wishes. Maybe he doesn't have the power to do that and will end up kidnapped for his power but at the end of the day if he doesn't wish to use his power he just won't use it. Or worse he could just remove/block the powers of those whom try to force him.

Geldi

Really liked the first 2 books and glad to see the story continues here. Keep up the good work. A small comment and this is just personal taste. As someone who primarily reeds on their phone it would be nice to have a slightly larger font.

Charles Gillentine

You know, it occurs to me that he doesn't have very many gates open himself, is it possible he is on the first tier of his ability?
