Shanks to Luffy at Ace's funeral: "It's okay to cry" Fisher Tiger to Koala: "It's okay to cry" My two red GOATs.

Love the integration of Koala into this backstory and storyline The smile she needed to put on was so genuinely disturbing, her moping the floor with her own clothes always sends a chill down my spine.

There's an interesting conversation between Kizaru and that one Navy. They say that they know about Arlong, but can't assess Fishmen strength accurately because they're always underwater. And then mention noticing a third man alongside Arlong and Tiger. This loops back to when Yosaku introduced us to Jinbe and Arlong. He said Arlong was on par with Jinbe, one of the Seven Warlords. Now we know that's not the case. You can either read it as Oda changing his mind, tho i doubt it, cuz we can clearly see the difference between Mihawk and Along back then. Or see it as an extension of how the bounty/strength of some characters often relies on rumors and misinformation. Yosaku never met Arlong and fishmen discrimination led to conversations about how they're ''all the same''. (Btw that one navy, his name is Strawberry and he was one of the five vice-admirals we saw during Enies Lobby's buster call. And his hair is actually long because of his skull not his hair lmao.)

god fisher tiger is so fucking cool

Fabulous

Am I the only one who find Otohime really annoying? I can’t stand this character. She can’t be so gullible and running a country. Her thinking and desires are super unrealistic

I love this arc so damn much‼️‼️‼️

Arkham

I’ve never been sure if this is intentional, but Tiger brands a human orphan to make her part of his crew. He did so with a good reason. What is the first thing Arlong, twisted by hatred, does to an orphaned human girl to make her part of his crew?

Fishman Island is not the best arc. For me I can feel a bit of fatigue in Oda's writing here and I don't blame him after finishing the Marineford saga. He has to start building up again. Still, there are some amazing moments in this arc. This episode being one of the greats.
