I read a comment somewhere that made me laugh out loud: Maomao used her medicine autism to thwart Suirei's assassination attempt and expose her faked death. Loumen used his medicine autism to find Maomao's message that exposed Shisui. Lahan used his number autism to figure out that the Shi clan was embezzling money to fund a coup. Lakan will (presumably) use his strategy autism to attack the Shi clan. Looks like the Shi clan's years of meticulous planning are nothing in the face of the La clan's combined autistic might. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

When Jinshi was having his "i can only do what I can" ahh realization i think that was his "kill the boy jon snow, become the man" moment and after that we do see the emperor's voice as Carson called it shine through and i fuck with that heavy. Kill the eunuch Ka Zuigetsu, become the prince.

Super late to the conversation - but like a lot of comments suggested, I don't think Shenlu drank the poison because she was traumatized by Jinshi looking like the pervy emperor, but because she didn't want to disclose the details about Loulan and Suirei. That kind of shows how perceptive and cunning she is to a certain extent where she leveraged her trauma to sort of disarm Jinshi and get away. It's little details and character writing like these that makes Apothecary dairies really great.

a piece of translation information given at this point in the LN is that Luomen's name also starts with the same character as Lakan and Lahan (came back a week later to say this to fight off the apothecary diaries cravings)
