There's a rumor that they cast Bartolomeo for season 2 of the live action based on some actor adding the role (but then removing it) from his CV. Not confirmed and I don't know if this was later debunked.

can't wait for our Hero to right the wrongs of Rebecka's tragic past. Luffy knows what is right. Just keep pouring your heart and soul out, he will always listen. Bartolomeo is literally a reflection of one piece fandom. After the 2-year time skip, i love seeing how other characters in the OP world are deeply inspired by Luffy’s adventurous exploits and achievements. It adds an interesting layer to his infamy as a pirate.
