In the manga he was flipping Doflamingo off while telling him off

Erica Wilder Boulter

The scene between Law and Doffy is the ultimate example of just how much Doffy's ego was wounded by Law's rejection and how (probably for the first time in his life) jealous he is of his "weak and defective" younger brother. Doffy "beat" Cora, Cora has been dead in the ground for over a decade - and Law STILL makes it known he chose him over Doffy. Doffy has everything he could have ever waned, things he's probably been working decades for - and it's STILL not enough. Law's loyalty is the one thing he wants that he can't have and it drives him insane. Also, fun fact: the translation of Doffy's whole "your curse has been broken/has ended" line is more-or-less exactly what the original Japanese says and is therefore the """""correct"""" translation - but the English dub was actually cooking an insane amount of heat in this scene and I prefer it a little bit more because of it because they had Doffy's VA mirror Cora's literal last words to him (about "freedom") and that adds SUCH an impact to me. Cora: "He's free now." Doffy: "I'M finally free of this burden. I'M free."

I don't know why but I can't help but imagine Craig from South Park flipping off Doflamingo.
