The reason Makima told the story about the mouse when she pulled up was to let Reze know she was listening to her and Denji's conversation in the school about the country mouse and city mouse, that she had been watching the entire time.

In your season 1 discussion, you guys said that you didn't think it quite lived up to the hype it was getting from the manga readers and other anime creators. Expectations were set disproportionately high for the amount of ground the anime would be covering, and reaching that high with season 1 alone would be very difficult. You guys meant that it was good and you liked it, but it was overhyped. This movie was again, just like season 1, very hyped. Do you think it lived up to the hype this time? And did this movie make you see a bit more where the hype from the manga readers back when season 1 aired were coming from? I love this movie so much, and i thought your reaction and discussion at the end was great! This is, in my opinion, where csm starts to go from good to great, and it's just gonna continue to get better from here. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on season 2 when it comes out hehehe!

yeah people were expecting 2 cours. they thought they would've adapted this reze arc and then some more which would've been crazy if it happened 🥲🥲🥲🥲 been way too long, 3 years!
