The translation of Gilgamesh's Noble Phantasm as Anti-universe is a bit misleading. New materials released over the years further elaborated on concepts previously opaque and described in few words at best. Ea is defined as Anti-World Noble Phantasm, distinct from either Anti-Planet or Anti-Universe. We now know there exists a true Anti-Universe Noble Phantasm. However, the servant container cannot release the energy required to destroy either the planet or the universe. Anti-World is better termed anti-texture, and texture is basically a layer of reality eneveloping earth (yes there are multiple layers). This is probably why Ea is so effective against Iskander, as his Noble Phantasm is very close to a texture in concept.

Yeah I genuinely don’t think Gilgamesh needed to use Ea to beat Rider. I think it was just that he respected him enough to use it.
