Yeah, you guys made a great point about how One Piece as a series is more suited to filler episodes than the vast majority of anime, but for some reason they chose to extend canon instead, which is a big shame. It would also make binges/rewatches way easier because you could just skip around the filler instead of having to watch through it bc it covers canon material.

Totally agreed with the filler talk. I really wish they did what they did with Naruto. Because especially then everyone who wants it can watch it and people who don't can just skip it in the future. I love any crew moments like this so much. It's like part of the magic of One Piece imo.

With the One Piece WIT Studio, I hope they do a bunch of slice of life/character focused/worldbuilding fillers and Cover Art fillers...especially if theyre fixing the pacing of the overall story.
