i agree, good to see Luffy show the weight he shoulders and what other's life and joy mean to him. he's memed as fighting bc someone fed him, Tama the most misunderstood example bc Wano is recent and big, but he has a depth of understanding and responds to the world with intention

This! I can’t even believe the amount of hate Tama is getting from reddit, etc. I even saw someone comment that she is selfish. Are we even watching the same show? 😭

I like to think one of the reasons Tama and Luffy clicked fast is in the little detail when they first met. Tama got her own “spunk” that Luffy really likes when she hit one of Kaido’s men to try and help him and herself escape. She was not just crying or moping which Luffy usually comments on other characters.
