Store ramen is better, but I enjoy a nice hot cup ramen more because it's usually paired with A. Being out somewhere fun like the top of a mountain and the overall experience is great. Or B. Being somewhere miserable like the top of a mountain on a rainy day where the hot ramen hits so much harder

The same thing can be said when you enter a ramen shop on a cold and miserable night, and the cook greets you loudly in Japanese. Minutes later, a hot steamy bowl of ramen is in front of you, prepared with REAL broth and REAL meat. That always hits the spot!
