Hi everyone!

We’ve already mentioned a couple of times that we’ve started working on a new project, so all of you are probably wondering what it's going to be. It's time to tell you what we are working on and what challenges we threw ourselves in our second project. After all, you know us — what is Manka Games without challenges and original solutions, right? In Tame It! we wanted to erase language boundaries both in our world and between the characters and we used the universal emoji language for this. So what will it be this time?

Challenge 1: Female Protagonist

Modern adult games with a female protagonist have a significant gameplay skew. In an attempt to see the maximum amount of content the game has, the heroine often turns into a slut (no offense to those who like that particular thing 😋). This leads to dull and contempt for female protagonists, allegedly it’s impossible to make really interesting games with them. Well, that's what we're going to try to change and prove that the female protagonist can be vivid, interesting and look good in the plot without spreading her legs for the first guy she meets.

Challenge 2: The patrons’ influence on the story

The community's influence on narrative games is limited. For example, many times you have suggested adding some characters, mechanics, and kinks in Tame It!, but we couldn't do this because of the setting and tightly defined storyline. In our new project, we're going to arrange the game in a way to satisfy your requests for kinks and characters without losing the main storyline. How are we going to do that? We'll tell you more about that later!

Challenge 3: Sandbox without losing focus

Many people love sandboxes, but the term “sandbox” has already become a synonym for “what to do next?” and “is there a walkthrough?”. We want to overcome these problems, while getting rid of the annoying “To be continued” screen as in Tame It!. The task is difficult, but we'll try to do it 💪

As you can see, our plans are pretty ambitious.

So what will be in the game itself and what is it called?

(non)trivial

(non)trivial — is a stealth adventure game where you have to find out the deepest secrets of your housemates, devout neighbors down the street, and other people of the town neighborhood, to uncover all the backgrounds of your friends, foes, colleagues, and just interesting passers-by. What skeletons are they hiding in their (pants) closets? Nothing and no one can hide from Vi, this girl is a magnet for other people's secrets.

Together we will watch the adventures of Vi (Vivian) while she spies on all sorts of people, delving into their secrets and discovering new things about herself and her desires. But Vi is not the only playable character in (non)trivial, soon we will introduce a second protagonist, who will have his own storyline and even his own game mechanics. His name is Sam and he lives a rather peculiar life. He and Vi may seem extremely interesting to each other, but their paths won't cross right away.

Just like in Tame It!, the characters' personalities and appearance will change during the course of the story, and there will be a lot of different gameplay elements, mini-games, funny little things and details. However, this time we plan to significantly increase the size of the game world, add non-linearity to the story, make the relationships between the characters more complex and at the same time include more kinks. A lot more kinks!

Remember all those votings you actively participated in? It was all for a reason and all the results will be taken into account in the creation of our new game. So, don't overlook another poll, because this way you'll be affecting the content of the game from its very basics!

Now we are actively working on the first build, and until its release we’ll tell you about different aspects of the new game: the world, the technical components, the gameplay, the characters, the mini-games and the scenario.

What do you think about it? We'd love to see your opinion in the comments, feel free to leave your requests and suggestions.

Thank you for your support and the ideas you share with us, it's a great motivator for us!

Stay tuned, there's so much more to come! 😘
