My Patreon boys,

Thank you for your continued support! This month's history episode is the second part of my Four Pillars of Pugilism. In episode one we examined James Figg and James Broughton and their affects on the fighting world. In this episode we skip ahead a few decades to a young Jew named Dan and a builder's son named John, both of whom fought their way into the courts of kings.

I would love to hear anything you guys have to say about this episode, the series is meant to thank you guys after all, and will consider any topic you would like to see covered. I cannot thank you enough for your continuing support, the Fights Gone By Podcast could not exist without you!

Cheers,

Jack

Was really excited to see this was up yesterday, another great listen.

General Kenobi

I'd personally love to hear an episode on Sam Langford at some point

Jeff Benjamin

Another great episode, loving all this fight history. I'm hoping that you'll have a go at the history of Wing Chun one of these months.

JR Lonergan

These were outstanding. More of anything

Dale

Thank you for the pleasant history lesson. I think a history of fighting techniques and how they evolved and their uses in certain combats sports would appeal to many. And a look at experimental sparring. Much appreciated. Dale.

Andrew Park

I really liked thinking about mendoza's impact on the perception of jews and thinking about the first rules regarding clinching and throws
