I own two radios: TBS Tango 2 and Mambo (FreedomTX). On the Mambo only the first half of the sine waves are executed, then paused until the next iteration of 1,5 seconds starts. On the Tango2 however it works as intended. I copied and pasted the working model from the T2 to the Mambo, but still only two sines are executed and the following two left out, leaving gaps between the wobbles. I glanced through settings and functions, but am clueless. Any thoughts on this?

I’m trying to configure the wobble.. I did a test on BF and the commands during the wobble come up to 1000 and 2000 ...full stick.. its safe… i found the issue … i set the curve to 100 / -100 … reset to 50 / -50 😅

IT WORKS!!!

@everyone WRT the auto wobble script vid, it's came to my attention that the results look a bit noisier than what people are used to. This is because the duration of the test is not quite long enough. Since you are limited by the "DELAY_UP" range, there are at least two solutions: (1) initiate the switch 2x or more in a given test OR (2) set up 2 switches, one for roll and one for pitch, each using the full range of the "DELAY_UP" time range. For RM Zorro users there's handy momentary switches, and I have roll on one and pitch on the other so easy to re-initiate the moves. If you have other ideas, let me know.

In one of the videos for bf4.5 tunning it is suggested to set linear rates with 200 degrees for basement tuning. Does it make any difference for step response tune part whether I’ll use wobble script on linear rates or my personal rates with expo?

The PIDtoolbox Guy

"it is suggested to set linear rates with 200 angle" : it is not clear what you mean by "200 angle". Basically, in BF 4.5, it is ONLY the shape of the rate curve that affects angle mode. the max rate does not matter. "Does it make any difference whether I’ll use wobble script on linear rates or my personal rates with expo?" : It makes absolutely no difference. the PTB step response does not care what your ANGLE or rate settings are, though ideally you should have moves reach ~100deg/s or so, and ideally 20-30 seconds of constant movement

When using AutoWobble, should I do roll first and then pitch, or is it ok to have the transmitter do both at the same time? Or no difference in test results either way? Acro mode is ok to use for the test?

The PIDtoolbox Guy

It doesn’t matter too much but I think this need revisiting. I think what I recommended in that vid is too short. Also I’m working on an interesting pattern that seems to work better and involves both axes the same time and collects more data per unit time. I’ll post on that soon

Shouldn't it be possible to use the Inflight-Adjustments in Betaflight to automate the whole process of PD-Balance? As in, the script does after all 10 Cycles ramp up the P-term by 0.5 and then repeat? 1. Is that making sense or am I missing something? Wonder why this haven't been done. 2. To read and compare the step responses in betaflight, I also have to automate starting a new Blackboxs log, correct? PidTB cannot differentiate within a single log, right?

Why not do this in the companion app so you can use the keyboard to do it? Once i discovered the companion app it made setting up my controller so much better.

Hi Brian, the Auto Wobble worked fine on my 7 inch, but my cinelifter X8 about 4KG fell out of the air when I activated the wobble. It seems it is to heavy or have too less throttle that it's possible to wobble. What I have to change that it's possible as well with my shwendrones thicc? Had Angle at 35.

The PIDtoolbox Guy

I will not make any recommendations about a lifter without a systematic assessment of the rig via my service. There’s too much at stake

Interesting. I thought I have to do full stick movements. If 50% is ok too, is great. What is the minimum stick movement to have good results?
