I am missing the part where you changed some settings regarding the RC link (rc smoothing, jitter, etc) . Maybe not important for the tune, but still wondering what you did.

Quick question about setting rpm filter q to a 1000. Is this a suggested command that should be entered for every quad or is this a case by case basis? I assume is the latter but want to confirm. Thank you

The PIDtoolbox Guy

Raising RPM Q to 1000 is a good idea in all cases imo. It still effectively kills motor noise with some possible left over residual motor noise bleeding through. What’s a bigger issue really is electrical noise. If this is not addressed then you’re up shit creek without a paddle anyway.

Thanks for this great video. Now I'm sure I can set up my 7 inch drone myself.

Did I understand correctly that you were able to set up filters and PIDs using only indoor tests without using full throttle?

The PIDtoolbox Guy

Yes, I always do that. I might re-adjust after a field test but as a tentative filter setup it works perfectly from in house tests. Typically any bad stuff like resonances will show themselves during hover and wobble tests.

Andrey Shevelev

Thank you for your quick reply. Yes, I'm currently setting up a 7-inch drone on a geprc moz7 frame. I tried very hard to assemble everything very efficiently and correctly. But I ran into big problems configuring filters and PIDs. Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to communicate with you online since I do not know your language (((( But each of your videos brings me closer to a good result and I began to understand a lot. Thank you so much for your work!!!!!!!!!!!
