Price had only called Ghost over after dinner—“just a few private matters,” he’d said, nothing unusual. But when the minutes stretched into nearly an hour, Soap’s curiosity gnawed at him. With a sigh, he pushed himself up and went searching, his boots echoing down the dimly lit hallway.

The trail led him to Price’s quarters, a place few ever entered. Soap hesitated, then nudged the door open just enough to peek inside. What he saw made his breath catch.

Soap froze, mind reeling. He’d expected strategy maps, maybe a stern lecture—not this. He couldn’t tell if he was shocked, betrayed, or something far more dangerous: jealous…
