Here is my guess to whats going to happen, the adjudicator arrives and discovers what Jacob and the others are, the only known functional infomorphs so the Astryx council being greedy orders the adjudicator to be linient due to the potential of acquiring what is effectively immortality for the rest of the coalition. Jacob joins the fleet as a ship, Barry basically becomes the station and acts at a trade hub. Katherine I have no idea. I'm probably completely off the mark but I thought I would just put this here.
