Such a mighty predator.

Two things. 1. He is a magnificent rat. 2. When my kid was quite small they were DEEPLY interested in Pokémon, but weren’t exactly conversant with *the game, as she is played* so they would put all the cards in binders arranged by some kind of arcane classification system. (Still better than the Dewey-racist-decimal system, but I digress). Anyway, once the cards were in the binder they would invite me to select winners on each page, based on criteria like: “which is cutest?”, “who would smell the worst?”, “which would you want to cuddle?”. And to be honest if that’s not how Pokémon is actually played, I’d prefer not to be told.

that is exactly how to play! i play a variant where i have a blue binder full of fishies and a black binder full of rats and mice

Oh! And a 3rd thing. I’m thrilled that valorous rats are contributing to moving you to somewhere safe. AND, I would also like to contribute to that. Even though I’m not shiny or holographic hardly at all. Have you got a one-time-send-you-some-rat-inspired-safety-cash link anywhere?

I remember years ago you writing about your rat pets. That memory is something I come back every now and then when considering getting a pet that would fit in the small places where I live... I ended up getting a baby, then a toddler and now an almost 4 year old, which takes so much space and costs so much to keep alive! (It's really cute though)

What does living somewhere safe look like? If you know, I’d love to know as well.
