I did an art challenge with some friends to make a monster for some concept art but I went a little overboard and did something I've always wanted to do. Make a DnD monster all my own with official looking templates, I'm so happy how it came out!

I don't write often enough so this was especially fun to try out for the first time and depending on interest I may do more of these in the future. If I spent more time on this I'd probably draw a couple more art resources to complement the page rather just a single illustration.

Vultursa

The The vultursa is a menacing creature that combines the fierce

strength of a bear and the sharpness of a blood vulture.

It’s massive, hulking body is covered in abrasive, bristled fur and

feathers, while its head has a sharp, crooked beak and a pair

of keen, piercing eyes. The vultursa possesses the ability to elongate

its neck, allowing it to swiftly strike at its enemies with increased reach.

It is attracted to the stench of carrion and rotted viscera

which it seeks out with a ravenous appetite, consequently this gives it

quite a virulently noxious bite.

Foul Stench: Despite its avian heritage the vultursa cannot fly, but it

compensates this with its monstrous strength and its ability to unleash

a minor miasma from its gullet. The foul fog radiating from the

monster's horrid breath engulfs its prey, obscuring their vision and

inflicts a dose of pestilent rot.

Decay Delicatessen: Vultursas are often found lurking in desolate,

decaying environments, such as haunted forests, forgotten ruins, and

cursed graveyards. They are drawn to places where death and decay

prevail, feeding off the remnants of the fallen. Travelers should be

wary of crossing paths with this formidable predator, pestilence and

decay is sure to be close by.
