Detroit Michigan in the States actually built the first car-charging road. It's only a quarter mile long, but still! Which is ironic considering they are coined Motor City.

Brad

I think this video was an absolutely perfect balance of city building and information. Superb job!

Marcin Kowalczyk

love this! also -it's not nonsense - it's ENGINEERING!

Asked for more water management after the Dubai floods and RCE delivers in less than a week. Patronage bucks well spent!

Amsterdam Is de beste

Why is it that in the UK traffic lights are so different than in the Netherlands? for instance in the UK the traffic light is above the button and in Amsterdam its across the street like in most European country's. Anyways, I enjoy your content for a cheap price (1 hours work in the grocery store😊).

Not a question. but Day 2 of RCE using my commute as an example of british road and highway design. Really making the day to day more interesting

They just started building one here in central Florida. Not sure how long the charging section will be

The Wanton Dogfish

That's actually a relatively new thing in the UK and I hate it. In fact, there is a roundabout on A3 in Tolworth that was just upgraded a bit and they removed those lights and put the ones with the pedestrian signal on the opposite side back in. I guess someone got the message :)

Onion Bubs

I quite like the info drops, but idk if I'd want them taking up this much time every episode. Perhaps just one or two questions per episode? Instead of Story Time with Matt, it can be Knowledge Time with Matt.

Living in Pittsburgh I can say the civil engineers were not worried about breaks giving out when they built the city. Our steepest gradient is 37%!

id love for you to take a look at spaghetti junction in atlanta, ga, usa. its real name is the tom moreland interchange. it's a complete nightmare, and somehow also a major route for ambulances (our only trauma hospital is near it)

Matt, the reason why cars are crashing on roads is because your roads are poorly maintained! You need to build a road maintenance depot (or a couple given you have so many roads) to keep your road condition in the green. There is a road condition overlay available as well.

Hey where that “fail” street is with the “music” things on the side is actually where I live in the US 😅😅 it’s about an hour and a half outside of LA. while it doesn’t sound the best, if you go fast enough it still sounds interesting lol

Inspired by your comments on grading, I’d love to see you review the state highway through the Kaimai Ranges in New Zealand (on the Waikato side). It’s notorious for making people car sick and is awful to drive down!
